This is undoubtably a stunning area, the amazing landmarks are within a short ditance of each other and you can walk around the green landscapes and look in awe.
everything that is unique about Pisa is in this Piazza, and indeed a clustering of such fantastic sites in one place, unaltered for centuries since they were conceived as one complex in a harmonious style, is itse...

I always like religious buildings for ant creed because they usually are some of the best architectural exponents for a given era, and this specific period of Italian history has produced some amazing sights.
Note although free, you MUST have a ticket to enter- you get this free with any ticket to leaning tower or the other sites on Piazza dei Miracoli, or you can just get a free ticket from the ticket office It is a v...

On the same site as the Leaning Tower, these cloisters are superb - so peaceful despite the hustle and bustle going on just outside.
This is totally worth the admission fee, although the Pisa pass (3 sites for €8 is the best bargain, and readily available on the piazza.

There's a narrow stair that spirals along the all to the second floor balcony that gives an amazing view of both the baptistery and the Duomo St Mary and the beautifully maintained grounds!
Wonderfully peaceful and awe inspiring with great views back over the Cathedral and tower.

Many people visit Pisa to see the Piazza dei Miracoli, but they forget to visit some of the other beautiful sites in Pisa.
This was the first sight I saw in Pisa as I passed it on my way too and from my hotel visiting all the big sights.

Exploring around Pisa was a great opportunity to enjoy it's beauty, full of lovely sights like the Piahha dei Cavalieri!
It is a mediaeval-style square with beautiful buildings all around, in particular the site of the "Scuola Normale" (for scientists, this is where Enrico Fermi and Carlo Rubbia studied).

Wonderful, with great views, pleanty of space, with white small peebles and free.
We did go into one bar that had some sand, but due the rock barriers to protect the sand from being washed away there was no clear view of the sea and no sound of waves.
