Lovely to look at but terrifying to climb.
There are over 250 steps that are quite difficult to climb. I don’t have a disability but if you do, this is not the attraction for you. Also, the tower is leaning at such an angle that you can’t quite appreciate it until you reach the top. It was most unsettling! We preferred looking at it from the base rather than being at the top.
    It looks magnificent at night.

The place is very beautiful and the tower itself is not like in the pictures. It is wider. The place is cozy. You can sit on several lawns and a lot of teenagers kiss in the shade. Romance! You can climb the tower itself only by buying tickets for a specific time in advance and handing over a bag somewhere. You can't carry bags. Be sure to visit!

The beach is fantastic as everywhere in Tirrenia . The personnel very polite and the aperitifs also .
The only negative is the lack of umbrellas. The cost is normal for the area with €5 the lettino and €7 during weekends .

We love marina di Pisa as a place to casually stroll by the sea, taste some nice restaurants without a haste and thousands of tourists.

Just the most perfect beach restaurant we could have hoped for, went there 3 times in a week. The staff are so nice, you get cheaper sunbeds if you have lunch, they run you a tab, nothing is too much trouble for them.

The food is great, some starters and 3 mains, normally 2 pasta and a fresh fish, changes daily, the waiter will translate some of the more local aspects as to what sort of fish or sauce we would have.

Beach is great, very shallow and sandy and clean, showers right by the bar, very clean loo’s or so the ladies tell me, ice creams on sale or so the kids told me, very good local beer which is what I told myself 😊

Cannot recommend this enough, we tried one other around the corner which was ok but not a patch in Il Paguro. Not sure if we will ever be back but if we do (I fancy the concerts in Lucca one day) then we will come very day.

    Ciao

Terrenia is not the place if you like a fantastic seaside, but this village is improving from year to year. The Bagno Tirrenia is clean and professional, a lot of space, restaurant, parking and relax. Thanks to my friend Paolo to suggested it to me. Godd place for family and children.

Stunning architecture and masonry work. Set between the tower and the bapistry it makes for a beautiful setting

The cathedral, counterpointed by the quite austere bapistry, is gorgeous inside with its high gold ceilings, intricate stonework and paintings

    Worth a visit for sure

Spiaggia Libera is located in Marina di Pisa, not so far from Pisa, in Tuscany Region. It is a typical Mediterranean sandy beach, where you can relax, bath, sunbath or play with children. Nice beach as some other, not especial, in the average.

Beautiful building and interesting frescoes with information boards in Italian and English. My favourite was the Inferno with a look at life at the possibility of heaven and earth. We had a combination ticket for all the Piazza dei Miracoli attractions we'd bought in advance online which was easy to use and scanned as we entered each attraction.

We picked this based upon other Trip Advisor reviews and glad we did, the beach was great, nice and flat and the water was very refreshing. We were able to rent chairs and an umbrella for a reasonable price. The bathrooms were clean and there were showers. It had a cafe where you could get anything from alcohol to coffee and food. The whole area was well maintained and clean. We had a very relaxing day at the beach.

We were referred to this beach as it had a "deal" with the Mercure Green Park resort nearby (where we stayed). The deal is $20 eur/day gets you an umbrella and two beach lounges.

There is no deal and in fact, hotel guests are given seats way in the back, far from the water, while many lounges go unused. We were told that these units were "reserved" for regular guests and they remained not used both days we were there.

The beach down the other side of the path, La Tintarelleria, is less expensive and the staff are MUCH nicer. The washroom and shower facilities are also nicer than at La Siesta.

I don't visit often enough. There is a great value for umbrellas as well as food and drinks. The staff speaks English which is a big plus in my book
