Very pittoresk old town with loads of hidden squares, little streets, restaurants and sights worth seeing. Losing yourself in the little streets, not knowing what you will find around the next corner is just marvelous. Reward yourself with a delicious handmade gelato close to the old fort and you have the best day.

Visited Piazza del Ferrarese during the evening and during the day and on both occasions found many people walking or seating in the different restaurants and coffee shops.
Part of the old road built by the Romans is well identified with respective explanations.

Must to see when visiting the cathedral. The ancient Remains, beautiful mosaics and frescoes. Many info panels in English Entrance fee 3€, but on my visit on Sunday not collected, maybe due to the mass to start soon.

We rented a place at this town for a few days before flying out from Bari. It feels very local and no tourist around except us. The coast is all rocks and no sand. The restaurants around look nice and the one we tried (Gemavii) was good. Good number of shops for any essentials one might need for the stay. Main square is pleasant with number of restaurants and bars around. On busy days (example Labour day) you can see lots of local families having good time at the restaurants and surrounding area. The train station is about 25 min walk from here and direct train to Bari Centrale where you can change to airport shuttle or to other cities/towns.

Had a ticket for 2 euros instead of 6 (people between 18-25 y.o) and I feel like 2€ was the right price to pay. The castle looks great but so much rooms are accessible and you can’t go to the walls to appreciate the view of the city… There is an interesting part about the castle and about Greek pottery but many rooms are filled with modern art and random videos, like if they had space they didn’t know what to do with ! Could be really good if they exploited it at its true potential

An old square in old Bari, it was the political center in the 16th century, characterized by the column of justice and the Palace of Sedile built in 1543 as the seat of power of nobles and primaries, the clock tower was the first, in the south of Italy, with the acoustic striking of the hours.

This beatiful palace is located on one of the main streets of Bari and it's owned by the family Mincuzzi that made it builded in 1928.
The facade of the building is made up of a succession of columns, beaded pilaster, Ionic capitals, masks , and , above, there is the monumental family banner.
For several years this palace was the symbol and one of most prestigious shops in Bari

Between the two piers of San Nicola and San Antonio there is the old port, with many colorful boats, in the morning you can see the stalls of fresh fish.
