We pre-booked this experience prior to our trip as a group of 8 people. We visited in mid February, UK half term and found this to be a quiet week to visit the Italian Alps. Likewise, it was a very quiet day on the Skyway and we managed to ascend and descend without any queues.

We planned our ascent for 11.30am and at the ticket desk we were advised to visit the Pavillion on the way down and head straight to the top, Punta Hellbroner, where we could stay for two hours.

The scenery was absolutely breathtaking with the cable car rotating throughout the whole journey offering views across the Mont Blanc range and surrounding mountains. At Punta Hellbroner we were able to access viewing decks which offered 360 degrees views which was quite an experience!

As it was my husband’s birthday, we visited the bistro and ordered champagne to celebrate. When the staff realised that it was his birthday, we were given a complimentary birthday cake which was such a nice touch. Everyone was so friendly.

On our descent, we stopped at the Pavilion and sat on the deckchairs, taking in the views and enjoying a drink from the restaurant whilst the sunshine shine around us. Yes, the experience is a little costly for a group, however, I would recommend highly that you visit if you have the opportunity to. We made wonderful memories here.

A really great and easy path all the way to the base of the Logo Miage (worth a detour up the scree) and a view of teh snout of teh glacier. Be wary teh weather can change rapidly and it is a longer round trip that you might think form the map.

Small mountain church, worth visiting fortheathmosphere with the walls filled of notes and life stories from grateful people who donated to the Virgin Mary their full devotion. Most note are in Italian and some in French. It would be necessary a good understanding ofthe italian language to best enjoy it

We went super early as we continued to Courmayeur via the TMB. I think it's better once the sun is high to reflect the aqua minerals in the water. The road/path is sealed and easy for stroller access.

I learned so much about local mountaineering history at this rather small museum. One big surprise during my visit was to find out the connection of the famous mountain guide Arturo Ottoz with the Hotel Ottoz Meuble where I was staying. I always like nice surprises during traveling and this is one of memorable ones!
