This park exceeded our expectations, it is a wonderful place: very green, with a lot of waterfalls and romantic paths.
This "villa" is really more of a walk down into a gorge of the river Aniene but extremely interesting and a wonderful way to spend a hot summer morning observing nature.

A perfectly kept path guides you up to the terrace by the far edge of the park that offers a stunning view of the city (Altare della Patria, the Campidoglio, St Peters Basillica etc.) any time of the day.
If yiou know the secret there is a house very close to the park where you can look through the keyhole and its like looking through a telescope as you see the spire of St Peters.

A small park with the nicest Roses of Rome, superb to see in May, the fragrance of more as 1000 differant sorts is heavenly, but only if you have a heart for flowers, and overall the roses, flowers of love.
Surely, it's one of the most rewarding nature experience in Rome.

There are tracks linking the various sites within the park and the modern Sutri is easily accessible from it.
There is a beautiful archaeological park to walk through with gardens and a lovely church and villa, the latter two which are unfortunately not open to view.
