- Paula1 contributionWe used NLG several times to get around. We took the blue grotto tour that was excellent!! I high recommend then. We also used them to go from Capri to Naples on our last day where we were staying the night before returning home to NY. The fee for luggage was $3 per piece. There might be a limit of 1 bag each but not for personal items like a back pack or small piece of luggage that you can carry. The ferry to Naples was a little less than an hour and on a beautiful day so much to see. I can recommend them enough. You can book on line or just go to the port and book it but on season might be booked up. So don’t take any chances and book ahead. Everyone was so nice. We went in May and it was very crowded but pretty well organized. Yes you have to wait on line but it seems everywhere you go there’s a wait. Make new friends while you’re waiting. Also The crew was so nice and helpful. Honestly I don’t understand some of the negative reviews. They explained everything clearly and concisely and kept is safe in slightly choppy waters and mixed in a very exhileratimg boat ride. I did the tour to Capri island with him early November 2023, and he made that experience unforgettable to me. Thanks so much Alberto for your friendly accommodating attitude, I appreciate a lot all your knowledge and your generosity to share it with the people. You are an absolutely amazing tour guide and a beautiful soul. We all enjoyed immensely the song that you dedicated to all of us in the grotto.

More seriously, our Captain Andrea expertly navigated pretty rough seas to still give us a great day. Just the right mix of tour and time on our own. Sightseeing, swimming, and meeting two other great couples made for a fun day. Oh, and the free-flowing cocktails on our return from Capri didn't hurt. - Annie MSan Diego, CA5 contributionsWe knew we wanted to visit the island of Capri and were a little overwhelmed with the logistics to see everything we had hoped. This is where Cioffi tours came in making everything as smooth as possible. Traveling on the bigger faster boats was key for me as I do tend to get sea sick but then having the smaller group atmosphere was wonderful to be able to hear information on the towns and island. Alfredo was our guide and he was such a treat- wonderful sense of humor, quite talented and gave us the perfect amount of time to explore on our own. He also had great recommendations that ended up being some of my favorite food on our trip. The day we went the wind and waves were quite aggressive and I overheard some other tour groups not being able to go due to lack of guarantee they would be on the return boat. We were so happy that we booked with Cioffi as they secured our spots. We were unable to go inside the Blue Grotto (due to the weather) but we still were able to take a boat ride around much of the island which was great to see. I would go back to sorrento just to do this day trip!
We spent 3 hours in Capri: had lunch, went swimming, had wine… then we hopped back on the boat and anchored at another spot where we all got to swim in the ocean.
The weather was beautiful and everyone was great!

Whole trip very well organised from start to finish. As with most the reviews, would advise taking the €25PP coach transfers they sell as this means you dont have to go round the island and on public transport like a headless chicken! Tour operator also messaged me via tripadvisor within 60 minutes of booking the trip. We originally were booked to do the tour on a day rain/wind was forecast and the tour operator reached out 2 days before asking if we wanted to change dates.
