#3 of 130 Sights & Landmarks in Granada
On the top of the white neighborhood of Albaycin, there's this unmissable spot: in a clear day you can enjoy the views of the majestic Alhambra with Sierra Nevada behind, a perfect postcard of Granada!
Worth the uphill walk in Albaicin through the fascinating, winding streets of small shops, Moroccan tea houses and bars etc to, arguably, the best view of the city and Alhambra in Granada.

Basilica de San Juan de Dios
#6 of 130 Sights & Landmarks in Granada
The artworks, the golden ornaments, the altar, so many things to point out in that unforgettable and remarkable site to be inscribed in my fond memories forever.
We were lucky to be allowed upstairs to the balcony areas and that provides an amazing view of the entire basilica and allows you to get up close to the raised altar area.

You need to be happy to climb steepish cobbled streets and stone staircases but you will be rewarded by many pleasing sights whether it be well tended gardens, historic buildings or panoramic views.

Equipped with Google Maps, we made the daunting climb up the narrow cobbled streets to the spectacular plaza and were well rewarded with the most amazing views of Granada and the Alhambra.

This monastery is a hidden gem, we got here on a chance and it was the best site we visited in Granada.
Better view of Granada than plaza san nicholas, if you're up for the hike up the hill (also driveable)

Wander through the rooms around the cloisters surrounding the orchard of orange and lemon trees and finish in the church to view the magnificent altarpiece - my husband nearly missed it!

Carrera del Darro is a fascinating walk through history with old buildings on one side and the Darro river on the other with great views up to the Alhambra.

Fabulous architecture including lovely gardens with panoramic views of Granada.
A fountain for meditation, a series of tunnels built into the hillside leading nowhere, and an amazing view.
Cathedral and Royal Chapel
#20 of 130 Sights & Landmarks in Granada
The cathedral and chapel are beautiful historic sites that are definitely worth the visit, especially if you have any interest in Ferdinand and Isabella.
You can hardly have a good outside view but the inside is spectacular enough and I strongly recommend using the guide to help you through (even if it is a bit enthusiastic on the church) Be sure that you can crane...

One of the most beautiful sights of Granada

We took a walk(steep uphill) to Sacromonte and were rewarded with fantastic views and a refreshing beer and tapas in a bar hewn into the rocks of the “sacred mountain” well worth the exercise
If you buy the tourist train ticket, just hop off at Sacromonte stop and walk up the street, Interesting and great views of the Alhambra.Stop in one of the open Flamenco caves for a quick drink.

... top of the hill so you can get there by bus C2 from Plaza Nueva, but I recommend to walk back on foot admiring the views and stopping for the best sangria in Granada in a bar with a magnificent view of Alhambra.
The walk to the monastery is worth doing: magnificent views of Alhambra and of the caves of Sacromonte.
