Amazing as you see this, amidst the clusters of architectural beauties, as you approach English Garden! Great place to feel the energy of the local crowd.

A landmark square in Munich. Located between Propylaen Gate, the archeological museum Glyptothek and the art museum Staatliche Antikensammlungen. Built in the 19th century in European neoclassicism. I visited during a public holiday so museums were all closed but I think it can be a nice spot when the museums are open.

A large square in Altstadt Munich, near Theatine Church and Hofgarten. The battle of the Beer Hall Putsch happened here. Other than the historical significance, I don't think there is anything remarkable here but if you are visiting the Theatine Church and Hofgarten, you can just take a walk.

Not my favorite beer garden in town, but it is a nice spot in the middle of the English Gardens for a beer and a bit.

Thought provoking and well presented memorial. Also had access to the university and a great exhibition inside. A must do when in Munich.

One of the cityś four royal avenues. It stretches between the Maximilaneum, where the Bavarian Parliament is based, to Max-Joseph Platz with the Residence and the National Theater. Along the street there are many buildings in the neo-Gothic style and this is Munich's premier address for luxury shopping. There is a wide selection of galleries, designer shops and luxury stores as well as historic luxury hotels (Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten).

This striking-looking building on Kaufingerstrasse in Munich Old Town is home to the menswear store Hirmer which was opened in 1914.

The building stands close to the location of one of the city's famous gateway towers known as 'The Beautiful Tower'. The tower survived until 1807 when it was demolished. On the street outside the Hirmer building, the footprint of the old tower is marked out in the paving. The tower is also commemorated by the sculpture occupying the corner of the Hirmer building.

The other sculptures on the facade have been made by the German sculptor Julius Seidler. The building is also characterized by many beautiful red flowers.

The Mariensaule is located in Munich in Marienplatz ... it is a column erect in 1638 to celebrate the departure of the Swedish occupation at the end of the 30 Years war.
The golden statue of the Virgin Mary - the Protector of Bavaria - was originally in the Frauenkirche but after 1638 it has taken its place on top of the column - hence the name Mariensaule.
So for those of you who are in the Munich visiting the Marienplatz this is a interesting landmark where you can take a few pics.
Enjoy Munich, enjoy Marienplatz and enjoy Mariensaule.

This is a very lively square and the buildings looked old and historical. The famous Hofbrauhuas and Hard Rock Cafe are also, so the area has a lot of people, especially tourists.

The Herz-Jesu-Kirche (Church of the Heart of Jesus) was built 1997-2000, after the previous church burned down. It's a large blue glass cube 14 m per side, which contains a wooden interior cube. The church interior is spare and minimalistic. The entire glass facade can be opened like a gigantic gate.

The entrance to the church is not in Romanstrasse 6. It is in Lachnerstrasse 8.
