I arrived prior to sunrise, and had the whole place to myself not 1 other person insight until I started climbing back down an hour & half later.
Breathtaking views from almost every place you look.
Yes the climb can be a little steep at time, might be difficult for those with disabilities unless you have a cane.
As I came into Lehavre from a cruise ship I was not going to pay $70 for a ride there, so if you like to save money walk about 1/2 hr to train/bus station and spend ONLY 3.60€ round trip for about an hour in each direction, walk about 5-10 minutes to the sea, you can't miss it, or follow the sounds of the seagulls.

Definitely recommend if you have a few hours in town, one of the top 10 most beautiful places I've ever visited, and I've been all over the world several times.
A little cold this time of year with a steady sea wind, but I'm sure it beats the crowds in the summer, just wear warm clothes and good walking/climbing shoes.

I really love the pastel-colored house where Monet lived and painted for over 40 years. Stepping inside, I find the rooms preserved much as they were during his lifetime, offering a glimpse into his daily life and artistic process. It just all so cute and warm with artisan touch.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of the visit is Monet's spectacular gardens. As you wander through the meticulously maintained paths, you'll be transported into the living canvas that inspired countless masterpieces. The vibrant flower beds, the wisteria-draped bridge, and the tranquil water lily pond come alive, replicating the scenes immortalized in Monet's paintings.

I would really enjoy sitting and painting here in his garden all day long, it was super serene with lots and lots of flowers :) The fragrance of blooming flowers, the gentle murmur of water, and the chirping of birds create a peaceful and restorative atmosphere.

Expansive sand beach with such a very sad history of war. Was there near the end of day so missed the cemetery. Certainly a stop for those interested in war history.

This was better value than anticipated. The submarine is great, one of the best we have visited. We had read quite a lot about queues, but we never experienced any issues in this regard. The aquarium was a nice exhibit and a good contrast to the other exhibitions. The titanic exhibition was okay, but having visited The Titanic Museum in Belfast, it was never going to meet those standards - so we were slightly underwhelmed. All in all, a great museum and good value. There is a larger cafe at the other end of the main entrance which we wish we had known about as the small snack cafe at the entrance had little choice and wasn’t the greatest.

Absolutely one of the best spots in France! Tucked away off the west edge of the Forêts of Eu. This garden has the most plant varieties of any garden in Europe. If you are into plants this is a GEM of a permaculture jungle garden!!! Highly recommend.

We visted Cerza in August so it was fairly busy but the zoo is so huge it didn’t feel crowded.
The open spaces for the animals are massive and they have a lot of room to run and exercise.
The layout of 2 major footpaths means that you won’t miss anything and there is plenty to see!
Feeding times are announced and it’s wonderful to see the animals eating and being so well cared for. We were there all day but the time went quickly as there is so much going on.
I’ve been to quite a few zoos and this one is my absolute favourite.

Largest beach we have ever seen. Site of the American Film Festival. The Boardwalk there is great and the beach was fun to walk on.

I reccomend you go early, MsM gets really popular and it is better to do this walk when you are not sharing it with a long long stream of visitors! See my photos for the difference...

Interesting detour in Granville. Must for those interested in fashion. Otherwise, the garden is enough to just appreciate.

The zoo was a pleasure to walk around, very clean and the animals are very healthy and well cared for.
We had food at the snack bar which was very good. Definitely recommend to visit for children.

Such a lovely find. Huge park divided into many different regions e.g. rose garden, garden de France, fern garden, perenial border, animal park, children's playground etc. Beautifully maintained, well signposted within the garden, spotless toilets and it's free!
The Greenhouse next door is an excellent cafe/restaurant.

Lovely little village. It was hard to find the tourist office and we had to ask around. Few cafes and beautiful walks. Lunch was good too. Highly recommend visiting this village with nice views of the ocean. Parking is free and plenty of public toilets.

Big diversity of flowers on a quite big garden area, well channelled by paths large enough to circulate properly even if lots of visitors were circulating back and forth. High density of flowers, well arranged on different levels of highth, colour arrangements well fitting together. Indeed a magic paradise!

Lots of beautiful trees and bushes along a little river leading to the famous ponds and bridges.

The bay is incredibly impressive especially when seen from the top of the mount. The tide must come in very fast so go on a guided tour if you wish to walk on the sands,
