Having done wine/food tours before, this one really is an absolute gem unlike any other I've done. It was really unique to get to move to different locations, which both physically gave a good overview of the city and provided the opportunity to sample food from a range of locales in the city. In addition to all of the food (and wine) being excellent, Alex had these very memorable stories, anecdotes, and knowledge that splendidly weave together for a great working knowledge of the history and culture of Toulouse. And of course, his knowledge as a chef of the food and wine equally matches the historical knowledge. so knowledge and we had a wonderful tour and learnt so
much. We visiting different places in the market gathering great local produce along the way, which we very much enjoyed eating along with some local wines after food gathering was done. We learnt a lot as well as having a better understanding of the local produce. The tour was relaxed informative and so enjoyable. I highly recommend The Taste of Toulouse. The directions were generally easy to follow and the clues were not difficult -- good for kids as well as adults. The timer was a little annoying because it was not clear when it was starting and stopping, but we weren't going for time anyway. Marina was a great guide, knowledgeable and patient since we had to take a slower pace because of my parents. They especially love Albi and the Cathedral. Cordes sur Ciel was beautiful, but it may have been too much walking for my parents by the end of the day. “Monica is so sweet and professional! I had so much fun on the shoot and getting to know her. She has wonderful locations and is very versatile even when we got rained out for part of it. Excellent English and we enjoyed all the little known antidotes of BBC the people and places. A well paced tour and we weren’t rushed as Cecile was always considerate to our needs. - Diether J1 contributionToulouse is a very walkable city that doesn’t feel too big, but also doesn’t feel too small. Being able to walk everywhere is a huge benefit, especially for travelers who are visiting without a car.
