The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Smiling and being friendly - quite unusual these days.
The food - evening meal - superb. Lunch buffet - pretty good.
We also got a guided tour - this was really interesting and well done. the guides were very passionate about the club and injected humour and made it interesting. Virtual Pep was fun!
Meeting space was well run.Written 21 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nice 1st floor where it’s more about experimenting for the kids. Museum is free to visit. What a great service. We enjoyed it!Written 24 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- EyekaytooLeverkusen, Germany3,204 contributionsMy son and I were returning to Germany having watched a soccer match at Anfield recently and decided to spend a day out in Manchester before getting our return flight home. We headed for the National Football Museum which was relatively easy to find in an ultra modern building.
On the Wednesday morning in question the place was quiet - we realised that most of the other visitors were Greek - obviously killing time before their team's match against Manchester united the following evening.
To be honest I thought that the entrance fee of 16 quid per adult was a bit steep but there you go. One of the museum staff chatted to us for a bit and helped to orientate us around the place. There is a lot to read and learn and some of the interactive elements were fun. All in all, a unique experience.Written 7 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I have been here about twice when showing friends and family around Manchester and they liked it. The cathedral is quiet, staff are very friendly and the architecture inside is very nice. They also do service at certain times. It takes about 10-15 mins to see so worth dropping by.Written 8 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Claire A14 contributionsWent to watch Disney on ice, the doors it told you on the tickets to enter were closed which meant walking around for ages, not well signed that you enter via the train station, one in well organised, good seats and no problems. Much better arena than the other new one in the city.Written 15 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BanzaiCleptonDublin, Ireland660 contributionsDefinitely worth a visit or two when in Manchester. Very good collection and plenty of changing exhibitions. The Valette/Lowry collection is excellent and great to see the evolution of Lowry's art from the perspective of his teacher/inspiration - make sure to check out the Lowry museum in Salford too!
As it was half term when we visited there were a few too many kids for my liking and too much space devoted to keeping them happy but if it gives them a love/appreciation of art then I guess it is worth annoying me. Great to see a fashion gallery too - often left out of art galleries but definitely belongs.Written 22 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NiamhInverie, UK108 contributionsI'm a massive columns enthusiast as the exterior of this library is something even Praxiteles would say 'Nice' at.
Protesters love it here - there's always something kicking off outside.
As for the inside, it's a decently spacious library and okay facility for small events.Written 28 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are blue badge spaces in the NCP Manchester Central car park opposite. Although this can be accessed via a lift and subway, it is at least a 150m walk, some over cobbles . The car park is very expensive, almost ÂŁ20 for four hours, and so not well used, and therefore can feel quite forbidding as it consists of underground tunnels. I would not recommend using alone.Written 9 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
