Even though I am not a football fan myself, I found the tour surprisingly interesting and it was a lovely experience to share with them. Keith and Paul, were really pleasant and enthusiastic guides - more than happy to answer any questions. Even my son, who supports another team, thought the visit was great. There was a nice surprise in the press room, but I won't give it away.Written 5 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. So so welcoming for kids, there are loads of boxes of dressing up, interactive exhibits, things for them to listen to and play with and even a whole kids play area with books and toys. Protesters love it here - there's always something kicking off outside.
As for the inside, it's a decently spacious library and okay facility for small events.Written 28 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. AliManchester, UK200 contributionsGreat family day out, the park offers many different activities, beautiful views and in the summer the fairs, boat and train rides are a must for the kids.
We usually take a picnic with us too and there's plenty of space to set up a game of football, rounders or cricket without disturbing other visitors
Heaton house and the orangery are a lovely spot and the lion statues are a spot where everyone takes pictures so a must visit if you're at Heaton park

The detective room was my favourite, with several interesting murder cases to read about. There were so many artifacts to look at, from weapons to uniforms, as well as actual cells and a rebuilt court room to walk around.Written 12 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
