    Wow wow wow…….
If there is a better way to start a holiday I haven’t seen it. Add into the mix that I can’t even read my own ticket. So when I told them that I had booked with Emirates (who are a partner airline) it was all good. When I entered my flight details they called me and said, unfortunately you will need to check your own bags in because Etihad aren’t a partner airline. After I berated them (politely but firmly) for allowing me to book their lounge when Etihad aren’t a partner, they were incredibly polite and humble as they pointed out how it was my own fault… and it was.

Tahir then went above and beyond to assist me in resolving my own problems by getting our baggage checked in. After this the lounge experience with Tahir, Katarina, Maria (Matt the chef - sorry may not be his actual name, but given that I struggle with airline identification, it’s hardly surprising if it isn’t 😂😂) and Miguel who drove us to the plane, were all brilliant. Thank you so much

Food, service, people can only be described as being off the scale. It was an amazing experience and a great start to a holiday. Thank you so much, Jayne & Rob

TIPS: Terminal 2 is undergoing major renovation and expansion and this means that for the next few months there will be long walks to the departure gates.
The airport is always very busy and the eateries are always heaving ..... so grab something from one of the take away outlets and find a quiet seat (if you can). When the new T2 opens later in 2025 ..... it looks like it will be a lot bigger more shops and more eating places.
BIG TIP: arriving it is very convenient to use the airport train station for onward connections and this is also right next to the National Express Coach Bays. If you are taking a private taxi ..... an example true fare Liverpool - Manchester Airport is around £100 each way ..... if you find or negotiate for £80 or below then consider that a bargain!

Fantastic experience in the escape lounge at terminal 3, Manchester airport.
We arrived at 11, so breakfast was still being served. Full English breakfast, cereals, breads, coisants, cakes. Drinks are a plenty, proseco, beers, bitter, shorts, soft drinks and hot drinks.
At 12 the staff brought out the lunchtime menu. A selection of sandwiches, hot food, pasta, cheese and crackers, crisps, tortilla chips, dips, there was lots to choose from.
Everything was constantly replenished, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Food and drinks were great, couldn't fault it. Comfy seats, nice view of the planes taking off and landing. All in all it was a fantastic start to our holiday. Would definitely recommend.

Certainly the best lounge at Manchester terminal one. Not big, but there were enough seats when I was there.

Food was reasonable but largely similar to the offering at other lounges here - I guess it’s the same catering company.

    Champagne is on offer.

Staff were lovely. From the welcome at the door which was friendly, casual but seemed genuine, the staff were lovely. Offering drink top ups and looking after the guests. Far different to the other lounges.

A pleasant. Quiet space with friendly service, and good food and drink.
