- Kirstie MLondon92 contributionsI went here with my three year old and we ended up spending hours here, it is fab! So so welcoming for kids, there are loads of boxes of dressing up, interactive exhibits, things for them to listen to and play with and even a whole kids play area with books and toys. We felt so welcomed, the staff were so helpful and kind and we had such a wonderful time. Currently enjoying their lovely cafe too which had delicious food!Written 23 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheFussyTeenagerManchester, UK1,464 contributionsThis hidden gem of a little museum is only open for public visits on Tuesdays; I visited around 2pm and it was fairly quiet. The detective room was my favourite, with several interesting murder cases to read about. There were so many artifacts to look at, from weapons to uniforms, as well as actual cells and a rebuilt court room to walk around.Written 12 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Samantha PrideNewcastle upon Tyne, UK3 contributionsI am only visiting Manchester for a few days while my husband is working. I took my 8 month old son there yesterday and I can't thank the staff enough. So friendly and attentive. I would like to personally thank Jess who was very helpful, friendly and just all around lovely. All the staff around the venue were asking if I wanted photographs taken with my son so I have some lovely memories with him. Fantastic sensory experience and would highly recomend.Written 11 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nathan S2 contributionsBeen a few times now with my mates, and bought 3 shirts from here. All great quality, and all at a very good price too. The staff are all very friendly and passionate about their job. The shop itself is very well set out and the staff are always keen to help in directing you to shirts or answering queries. Highly recommend even going for a look round if your a football fan.Written 16 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Matthew B136 contributionsI visited today with my 12 year old daughter, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. To be able to take my daughter to the home of one of the most iconic women in British history when she is currently studying the Suffragettes at school was superb.
We weren't sure what to expect, and whilst the experience is a very short one (we were there under an hour), it's an amazing experience. Every wall is covered with information, key date and quotes, and dotted around are examples of documents from the early days of the movement, as well as interactive exhibits and an immersive video room. We both learned a huge amount, not just about the amazing Pankhurst family, but also about the context of, and sheer breadth of, their amazing legacy.
We talked for over an hour afterwards about everything we had seen, how it fit into current events, and how she can make her own mark for women's rights - conversations we wouldn't previously have been able to have. It feels a very important time to be having these conversations. Her age, with the subjects she is studying in school and how she is coming to understand world events made the whole experience feel even more relevant. We both really recommend The Pankhurst Centre!Written 20 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
