What travellers are saying
- DANIELLE ONottingham, UK1 contributionMy son and I visited Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World in Telford UK recently, the keeper Sarah was amazing! She spoke to the keeper doing the Carnivore Experience (Jody) and my son got to feed a red fox by hand! The Arctic foxes were much more sociable but wow, just wow! What a day 😍 (sorry if the foxes dinner offends)Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nicole KNorth East England, UK21 contributionsBeen here many times before including when I was a child on a school trip.
My children love this place. It’s both fun and educational. We came for the Christmas special this year but prefer it when it’s a normal day in the town.Written 3 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I called before purchasing as I was looking for a specific date and the lady who answered was incredibly helpful, within 2 minutes she had taken some details and pencilled us in, ready for when I finished work and could pay online!
We have just had the best morning here- Ryan greeted us warmly, led us to the Lemurs and throughout the experience was telling us loads of fun facts and stories about the gorgeous pair that they have (Juliette and Julian) we took some amazing photos and the beaming smile on my other half’s face says it all! We will absolutely be booking more experiences in the future- possibly the Capybara or Armadillo one next 🙂
As we explored the rest of the site, it was evident that the owners and staff really care about their animals and are seeking to provide more space and enrichment too.
Ryan came and found us slightly after the Lemur experience too- he handed us a ticket to feed the lambs as he knew our visit was planned around a birthday. That was just another highlight in a fabulous day 😁
This really is a brilliant, family friendly space to visit and we are lucky to have it on our doorstep!
I cannot recommend this place enough, truly!Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Loved the Iron bridge and the village with the shops. We went for one of the walks. Pleasant and enjoyable morning visit.Written 15 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BagabargainSouthwell, UK292 contributionsWe bought a Pass Plus ticket and fitted in 4 museums in 2 days. We more than covered the cost as it included free parking (normally £1 per hour) and discount on purchases in the shops and restaurants, and better still is valid for 12 months.
The museums are all located in original working buildings, are well laid out with clear information, and the staff/volunteer helpers were all friendly and helpful

- R HBirmingham, UK187 contributionsBrilliant morning spent feeding and getting close and personal with alpacas. Amazing creatures, very intelligent, friendly, sooooo fluffy. John was a perfect guide introducing us to all the different characters and they quirky ways. Both John and his partner Natalie put their heart and soul into their farm and it shows. The animals are well loved and looked after. Not only you learn about Alpacas but you also have the opportunity to meet little chicks, ducks, sheep and cows. Check out their Easter plans. Would highly recommend.Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jessica SWolverhampton, UK23 contributionsSuper park for kids of all ages! What I love most us how clean it is! Coffee kiosk in the winter/ice cream in the summer, perfect for an afternoon out. Have visited numerous times, one of our fave local places. Picnic areas are plenty and lots of fab restaurants nearby too!Written 13 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - L_K1509London, UK1,333 contributionsWe went to the museum because we had it included with our Blists Hill ticket. Friendly greeting on arrival and offered a tour of the site.
Steve Hudson who did our tour spent two hours telling everything there was to know about the history of the factory, china and it’s manufacture. Interesting and friendly, I would recommend. Thank you.

- JoooodWolverhampton, UK69 contributions4/8/23. As an NT member myself and few friends still love to visit this place, so keep an eye open for their few opening days a year. It starts with the pleasant walk from the car park down the drive through the giant Sequoias (also known as the giant redwood and Wellingtonia tree)
The tour is about an hour and the volunteers give an enjoyable & interesting talk. It is a shame though that we are not allowed to go back around the house after, to look at in a bit more depth ie pictures and information sheets. Also a pity the lovely little tea room is not now open, but we are allowed to take our own food and drink in and find a place in the garden. I'm sure if they could get more volunteers it would help. Sunnycroft contains all the items as they were left to them. The grounds are not huge but nice to wander around and good to see that they have restored the conservatory. If garage is unlocked you can see their Daimler. (I'm not sure of the one review from frank... where they say an 8 min visit in and out - that is definitely not the case).
It asks below how long to spend there. This would depend on the weather. If nice you can spend time relaxing and if any children they could run around & play on the grass.Written 5 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
