- Chris SLacock, UK11 contributionsJust visited Santa in his grotto at the Swindon and Cricklade with our 8- and 4-year-olds. First time to see Santa at this line, and we had a lovely day out. Santa was great, as was the grotto and having somewhere undercover to wait on a very wet day was a bonus. All the volunteers were brilliant (especially considering the weather) and the presents were good quality and fun. Highly recommended. Thanks.Written 20 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- paulgordon888London, UK309 contributionsBooked a tandem skydive with Skydive London a few weeks ago. Arrived at 9am today as scheduled and I had already been allocated to the 12th spot, which turned out to be the 5th batch to go. Waited two and a half hours and finally it was my turn. I was taken care of by a very experienced and humorous instructor named Luke. As a first timer, I was a little nervous but Luke quickly put me at ease. The flight to 10,000 feet took about 8-10 minutes. When everything was set to go, things happened so fast. There was no time to be scared. Once leaped out with Luke and experienced the free fall, the fun began. I enjoyed thew free fall part very much. Luke pulled opened the parachute after dropping for about 5,000 feet. The up-pulling force was rather abrupt. Followed by the spiralling that gave Memorandum time to enjoy the view. We landed with no hassle. The straps around the thighs did cause some discomfort. What a great experience. It is an activity good for families and friends. Heard that they will move to a new site upon completion of this season after having operated here for 15 years. I was happy that I did buy the video package and Joe the photographer came along, so I can bring home with good memory.Written 15 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Olivia W2 contributionsIt was a very nice view the activities were good but also quite scary. Some staff were amazing but some just wanted to do their job.the bedrooms were alright but the toilets were gross and didn't flush and in my room we kept on hearing a squeaking sound through the night but overall it was good. Food was okay in my opinion there were only two nice meals.Written 29 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Janet M12 contributionsFinally got to fly on Sunday, having been cancelled many times over serveral years with another company. We thought we were going to lose the opportunity, bought as a Christmas gift by our children but luckily for us Virgin honoured our voucher..... What an experience! Perfect conditions, so can and quiet. We could see fit miles and loved picking out the local landmarks. Friendly knowledgeable team who allowed us to be a part of the inflation and packing away. Champagne to celebrate the flight when we were done. Can't wait to do it againWritten 13 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ziggy G2 contributionsI use JC for all by diving needs, always very helpful and knowledgeable. I recently had some custom modification make to my dry suit, it was better than the manufactures build, well done guys. Always willing to go the extra mile. I have found their prices very competitive and always cheaper than other dive stores but with the quality support to back it up.Written 28 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David LSouthampton, UK36 contributionsExcellent meet & greet at the pub prior to being guided to the hide area. A lot of new work being undertaken to improve viewing including several new pond areas for kingfishers and a raptor area. The woodland hide is spacious with a reflection pool at camera level. Looking forward to going back.Written 4 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Predrag JSwindon, UK5 contributionsLead climbing course with Brian was excellent. We learned a lot over three sessions and Brian took time to answer all questions and explain why things should be done the way he thought us. I learned to climb with Brian many years ago and I am glad I had another opportunity to learn from him.Written 27 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - flames25Swindon, UK18 contributionsI would strongly recommend Clearprop to anyone interested either in aviation or just sightseeing from an alternative perspective.
The instructors are all fantastic and will put you at ease. I have had the pleasure of flying with them all as after taking a trial (sightseeing) flight I went on to train for a microlight pilots licence.
The airfield (Redlands) is conveniently located close to the M4 and A419 and has a good cafe which is open most weekends.
As a day out, a microlight flight is an unforgettable experience especially in Wiltshire where there is so much to see.Written 21 November 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. All four had a brilliant time and took home the prized wands. The tuition by David was first class and presented in such a way that it was easily understood without being patronizing. There are toilet facilities which are as clean as an outward bound type establishment can expect (muddy boots). There is a disabled toilet too which is brilliant.Written 1 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Neil Mason2 contributionsHad used them for business related transport for a group of us the other day. They arrived about 10 minutes before the pick up time which was impressive. Their cars were in clean condition and drivers were very polite. I would highly recommend them.Written 15 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
