Now as I always say I'm a lover of beer and quite enjoy doing brewery tours ect, in my month in Ireland I've already done about 4 brewery tours and I must say this was probably my favourite. We ventured out to the brewery on a Friday morning and lucky enough we were the only 3 on the tour which gave a very personal tour, rather then the 30 expected for the Saturday tour. Going on a weekday is always great because the brewery is in full operation and you get to see the process happening right in front of your eyes which for me is a huge plus. Starting with the basics as usual on how the beers made and ingredients used we skipped though it quickly so our guide could actually show us first hand as they went through the process. The highlight of this for me is watching the bottling line as the beers are filled pasteurised labeled capped and finally packed, and how quickly it's all done it's really amazing. After this came the tasting and again our small group paid off. We got to try a huge variety of all the different beers and cider the company made, to which I must say we mostly all really nice beers. In all I think if your in the area I highly recommend doing his tour and at just €10 it's a lot cheaper then all the others I have done so far.

Had a great experience visiting the farmers market. There were tasting tables in the centre with a variety of foods . Outside was a stall selling cheese made by the seller on his farm including goats and sheep’s cheese.

Coppenagh House Farm shop is a hidden gem! There are so many unique Irish-made products, including their very own Waygu beef and Ballybar embroidered clothing.

If you want a peaceful spot to drink some coffee with highland cows, their "Cows & Coffee" stand is the perfect spot!
