- Grace Pyon18 contributionsOur tour guide James and driver Robert were wonderful. Robert was pleasant and drove us safely all day from London to Stones to Lacock to Baths and back to London. James was informative and funny, and gave us suggestions of shops to check out. The tour is all day from 7:30 AM to 8 PM. I recommend bringing a cordless battery charging case because your phone will run out of battery. It gave us the gist of the city and ideas about what to explore further.
Our guide, Ari was superb, funny with tons of historical knowledge.

(Nearest tube is Tower Hill which is in the Circle/yellow line and the District/Green line) is one of my favourite historic places.
There are free tours by the Yeoman (who are all ex military) the tours are every 30 minutes where you can meet them near the entrance. Every tour, you can learn something new of historical significance.
There are also audio guides available - again included in your entry ticket.
A former Royal residence, Prison, Zoo, Treasury and execution site of;
Queen Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard and Lady Jane Grey.
The Crown Jewels are also kept at the Tower.
There is a cafe called the Armoury-where you can buy hot food and cakes.
A bowl of soup is ÂŁ7.50 and a slice of Victoria sponge ÂŁ6.00.
There is nowhere within the Tower that you can have a picnic. There are eateries nearby that are quite reasonably priced.

I won't ever see the movies with the same eye again! A few suggestions to improve your experience— skip the tour bus ride to & from & find alternative transportation so you can stay as long as you want. Warner Brothers provides free shuttle service to and from Euston Station for the hours they are open. Skip the headset purchase, too. It only interferes with the rest of the tour, which is very informative. The walking is not as bad as I was thinking. Plenty of stops where you get to sit in the restaurants. You can't go wrong with Evan Evan's Tours.
