What travellers are saying
- underwood535Chichester, UK14 contributionsThis lovely little attraction was easily accessed by bus from Torquay town.
It is a good place to visit for any age group and it allows well behaved dogs which is a bonus when you are travelling alone with your pooch. Also there wasn't any charge for the dog to enter, the only place dogs are not allowed is the ensite Cafe.
The model village was very well cared for with lots of exhibits that kept up with the times.
I visited at 10am and found that my dog and I could get around the park easily without having to que up behind other visitors.
I thought the entrance price of £15.00 per adult was a little steep but as it was going to be a one off visit I decided to go.
They only offer 50p discount if 4 or more go if pre-booked, NO discount if you just turn up.
Overall I am glad I went, but the price would put me off taking others with me as there isn't a massive amount for easily bored kids to do there.Written 21 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Cheryl T3 contributionsJust visited with 4 small grandchildren. James was our tour guide who was funny and informative and engaged us all. Afterwards we took the woodland trail which all the kids enjoyed . - Fearne S4 contributionsBeautiful grounds, very clean and lots to do whether you wish to walk, craft, eat or shop with a pub nearby!
Only downside is parking, one car park which you need to pay for.Written 8 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - fiona cBristol, UK17 contributionsThis is a sweet little museum with lots of interesting artifacts. The Victorian street is very well done and (because it was Easter) there was an Easter egg hunt, which even my teenager enjoyed!
We went at 3pm and the museum was quiet. I have a disabled son and the man in the ticket office was exceptionally kind. He gave me a carer's discount and because we were unsure if we would be able to complete our visit on the day, he made our ticket an open return for the month. He even offered to turn off the soundtrack, if it would help with my son's issues.
Bygones isn't a big place and won't fill a whole day but we had a lovely couple of hours with kind, understanding staff.Written 15 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - GayleBrixham, UK7 contributionsDon’t Stop the Music! 19th May.

- Amy P5 contributionsStaff were fun and friendly. Took us about an hour to go around. our son (5) loved every second. Jam packed with dinosaurs (most you can sit on so that was a plus!) and loads of facts! My son loved the sand pit looking for bones and the craft area where he coloured in a dino picture. If you answer the quiz sheet they even give you a certificate at the end.Written 23 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- PjpegHuddersfield, UK21 contributionsFound this beach as I walked on the SW coastal path to Babbacombe and stopped for an icecream. Lovely, quiet spot with a small cafe and beach huts to change in. Perfect for a spot of sunbathing or rock poolingWritten 9 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Neil BLiverpool, UK12 contributionsLarge parkland. Ponds and environs not as well maintained as in the past. Area behind the house has been developed as workshops selling directly to the public.Written 20 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JamesTywardreath, UK354 contributionsWell run, well attended and staffed by an efficient team.
fast and reliable 'drinks and snacks to your seat' service via QR codes and smart-phone, which was useful.
Not much leg room... But that's the way in most theaters, if you need leg room, book front row seats.Written 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Pete H37 contributionsVery continental feel in excellent weather ( and we had lovely weather ) A harbour area of lovely craft surrounded on all sides by cafe culture. An interesting place to visit, and with fresh seafood on the quayside, or drinks, a great place to gather with friends for drinks and relaxation. - Stuart BCarshalton, UK486 contributionsWe had the museum to ourselves as we had timed tickets due to the start of the current pandemic.
The museum is well laid laid out and the Agatha Christie Floor is the real reason we went there. Yes there could have been more but what was there more than made up for it.
The shop was well stocked and yes we bought!
