- Katey H8 contributionsYou could literally be anywhere in the world, the place is beautiful. Lots of coves, a little waterfall and small pools of water which were perfect for our kids.
We got the bus and be warned the walk from the bus stop is about 20minutes down some country roads, also make sure you check the return bus time as they're not that frequent. When you reach the car park you have to go down lots of steps so it's not suitable for prams/wheelchairs etc. But it is 100% worth it, its truly stunning.Written 25 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Delwen B1 contributionOn the last day of our holiday on Jersey we were looking for something to do in St.Hellier.
We were really pleased that we chose a visit to Elizabeth Castle.
The tide was in so we caught the amphibious bus which was fun in itself.
Their was plenty to see in and around the castle but the highlight was definitely meeting King Charles II, he was very funny as well as interesting.
We were 3 couples and it was the best laugh we had in ages as well as very informative. We all said that if we had teachers like him at school, we would have learned a lot more.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - TLD310Fareham, UK69 contributionsWhat a fabulous find! Great to meet the artist and hear about his travels. The sand sculpture is incredible full of detail that both young and old would love. Can't recommend enough. A definite 'don't miss' !!! It's free too but asks for donations ... we were only too glad to pay.Written 17 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- David_R503983Ruskington, UK467 contributionsThis is a great way to get round Jersey tickets were &2.50 cash for a single joruney (£2.10 contactless payment) but it's better if you buy a bus pass (2/3/7 passes are available) we bought a 2 day pass at £16 very good value if you don't have a car!Written 1 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- David_R503983Ruskington, UK467 contributionsA must see place to visit, one of if not the best beach in Jersey.
The water looked very calm and clean , with a huge expanse of sand.
There's a few shops and restaurants along the sea front as well, you can't go wrong here!Written 3 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Christine K6 contributionsVery well presented and a comprehensive view of the islands history. - GTSSurreyBisley, UK888 contributionsThis museum, houses in a German bunker from WW2 is a treasure trove of artefacts from the occupation of the Island all lovingly curated by the owner, Damien., who was keen to share some insights on the history of the location and also that just a small proportion of his collection id able to be shown. Immaculate throughout and with lots of background explanations on the items on display this place is not to be missed by WW2 history buffs or those with an interest in the social history of this very difficult time for the people of the Island (and, of course, those people forced to build the fortifications by the invading forces). A very interesting place to spend a couple of hours; highly recommended.Written 1 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Hazel DNew Milton, UK129 contributionsSpent a good few hours here and really enjoyed it. Lots of keeper talks throughout the day and I enjoyed the orangutan talk.
They are doing a lot of work to protect endangered species and the animals welfare seems to be top priority.Written 29 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - KeenomanjaroCroydon, UK181 contributionsAdjacent to the popular St Brelade's Bay, this seems to be a quieter, but in no way inferior, beach. The bay is separated from St Brelade's by a rocky outcrop which you can pass behind following a path connecting the two beaches, but we visited at low tide and found that we could easily walk out across the sands, which was a very enjoyable stroll capped off with a visit to the Smugglers Inn which is just up the road from the beach. There is a decent sized car park with toilet facilities right down on the beachfront, but it's also possible to get here by bus - take the 12a and jump off at Ouaisne Junction, then follow Le Mont du Ouaisne for about 15 minutes all the way down to the beach.Written 6 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Hazel DNew Milton, UK129 contributionsSpent 1-2 hours here. Interesting little museum. Very hands on and I would imagine children would quite like that. Look in all the cupboards and drawers as well, some quirky things to see!Written 26 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Bluegin_13Huddersfield156 contributionsLighthouse situated in a dramatic bay. Plenty of parking.
The views are amazing, well worth a visit.Written 12 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Katey H8 contributionsIt is super pretty but I have to admit I prefer Plemont Bay. The sea doesn't go too far out here so it's ideal for swimming and paddling, the sand is also a bit gritty. Be mindful, the sun is behind you so you can't look at the sea and face the sea, its 1 or the other. Still definitely worth a visit though.Written 25 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
