- Trishnpanama3 contributionsWe were staying at our favorite beach resort, Las Lajas Beach Resort, and they arranged for us to do a whale watching tour with Step by Step Travel. We were picked up on time and had a most enjoyable trip with our driver, Mike. When we arrived at Boca Chica our captain, Captain Jay, was waiting for us. He was the perfect guide. He knew where the whales were and kept a respectful distance from them. He also took us to a great snorkeling reef and two beautiful islands. Even though we have lived in Panama for 17 years, this experience was an exceptional one and one we will always remember. The experience was one of a kind Luis and Angel were a great team who knew where the fish were and we asked for a variety and they knew where to find and catch all kinds. - KristenSaint Cloud, FL10 contributionsOur family of 3 went out with Captain Chuy and first mate Michael on the purple panga for some Panamanian inshore fishing… well it didn’t not disappoint They definitely know the waters and how to fish. The panga was a lot of fun. My son was so happy just consistently catching fish throughout the day, Jacks, 2 huge rooster and needlefish. It was windy but tolerable! The snacks, fried chicken and drinks were on point! The beach was beautiful and nice to relax at the end of the day! My son already said this is the place to go and loves Panama and the purple panga!! Thanks to Merf & Sue for planning an amazing fishing trip for us.
