If you're looking for an outstanding selection of their craft brews on tap, you won't be disappointed. Quite a few trees to provide shade as well. Great place to go for people of all ages.Written 18 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - matthewsJ2596IHWinnipeg, Canada252 contributionsEnjoyable for a casual walk or a day at the beach. Watch out for the segregated walking and bike paths. Great idea to keep everyone safe. Lots to see and do and walk up a couple of blocks for many options of food and bevies.
On our visit there weee small markets and bands in the park.Written 29 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Created by Canadian sculptor Ron Baird, this iconic landmark which was based on the legendary Thunderbird has stood tall on the Barrie waterfront since 1987. I like the fact that it is kinetic--that parts of it move with the wind. The movement brings life to this imposing work of art.
During our Oct 22 visit, the steps leading to the base of The Spirit Catcher still served as the Indigenous community's makeshift memorial with random candles, bouquets, stuffed toys, etc. There were also giant orange planters with orange mums right out front from the previous month's National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.Written 14 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lori8813Barrie, Canada1 contributionThe Customer Service is exceptional. I called but reached their voice mail. Even without leaving a message, Leena saw my number and returned my call the following day and asked how she could help. She resolved my issue and was very friendly. I often don't receive a call-back even when I DO leave a message with a company!Written 27 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Oxyfish1Deddington, UK105 contributionsWe enjoyed the food court. The fries from NYF were hot and delicious. The gyros from Feta and Olive was tasty but small on the portion size. The rest of the mall was a decent size. There was a good range of stores, but some were a little on the small side.Written 6 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Janie HBarrie, Canada40 contributionsThe Maclaren is a small gallery which has rotating exhibits. It doesn't take long to wander through it, and it has free entry-although you can put a donation in the donation box. There is a very good gift shop with locally made wares. There is also a very good cafe, which serves great lunches and coffee.Written 5 February 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
