- EspressoCanadianMission, Canada772 contributionsMy wife and I were in search of shopping in cabo san lucas that was not much of the exact same thing. I was also looking for Mexican Soccer jerseys. This is not in the tourist zone at all it is a little bit of a drive from the marina in cabo san lucas but it was well worth it. we actually found some good shops. I bought a few jerseys at innovasport. There were a few shoe stores that had tons of shoes in the mall. there was a Coppel department store of 2 floors and Soriana department store they are like a rival of Walmart similar to a superstore and walmart in canada. a lot of the stores we went to you could buy good quality shirts for $30 to $60 that were made in USA or made in mexico. I thought that was a good thing because nowadays it seems like all you can buy is made in china clothing that falls apart in canada. it had 2 floors and had 3 bathrooms in the mall as well.Written 28 June 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jillian Hardie5 contributionsA huge shout out to Carlos who helped us today and went the extra mile to chase me down when I left my sunglasses in the store! ❤️Written 26 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - moviegal226Las Vegas, NV4,344 contributionsThis tequila store is located in the prime tourist corridor in Cabo San Lucas, and it's there to take your money. My rule of thumb in Mexico, when it comes to liquor stores, is this: if you look around and don't see any locals shopping there, RUN!
The prices are marked up at least 100% (and sometimes even 500%) on artisan tequilas that are, admittedly, difficult to find. A quick search on Google and you'll find the same tequilas for much, much cheaper prices at specialty liquor stores in the U.S. This is a place where your mantra should be "look, don't buy."
The store is large, clean, and well organized. It's a fun place to browse. The day we stopped in, a couple of locals were hand rolling cigars and offering them for sale for around $10 each.
They offer free tastings in the store, and there's no obligation to buy. They sure will point out their tip jar if you partake in a tasting, however. It's a good way to try some nice tequilas for free if you're a fan of the spirit.
The employees here are all very friendly and speak perfect English, but know that this store is designed with one thing in mind: to overcharge uninformed tourists and to take your money.Written 22 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
