The divers show was great and a great experience just seeing the divers climb and then the diving, the divers were really friendly

Beautiful, peaceful location with a very moving story behind it. Amazing views of the city. An hour allows plenty of time to look around, take photos, and soak in the beauty of this location.

We always stay on this beach, clean, safe, lovely, inviting. I find lots of novelty’s on the beach, I have seen sea turtles while on a morning walk. Gorgeous!!!

Very nice and peaceful beach, not crowded. The sand is darker but clean. You will get approached for rental of quad cycles, massage, etc. just politely decile if you are not into it. The water is warm and the waves can be tricky, the "resaca" can be strog at times so be careful not to get too deep.

The lower end where you turn into pdlc is a bit of a dive but has a good taco place on the right around the bend. There is a sports bar next door where locals go to watch soccer etc. it is before the new oxxo.

Further up are a number of beachside local places. And then baxar tres m vaya - horrid place. don’t eat or stay there. My opinion.

There are a few places just past the hard right heading straight ahead. Oh, the tatoo place also has a name palapa dreams. There seems to be an older couple who come and go.

As you go hard right past the military base there manglaar rojo which is very good not to be confused with verde. They are opposite sides of the oxxo. Past the bases wall on the beach sside there are boutique hotels and quintas. Quinta tonita is usually quite busy and they do not sell alcohol. Its a byo place. Its quite reasonable for the price.

The road is dangerous from about 11am to 1pm and then from around 6pm. Have eagle eyes.

Do not swim in the ocean, paddle at the shoreline. It is very dangerous. The diamante area to vieja is much safer in comparison.

Eventually you will reach a dead end at la barra. That is its local name. Put coyuca in there and you might just end up at the river in coyuca…

From la barra you get a small boat out to the restaurants on the sand bar. And there you can swim. Get a ride behind a speed boat. The facilities are primitive but the food is OK. Not sure the the lady with the mud treatment is still up one of the tributaries. You could drive there but then you would head to coyuca and take the turn off. Athe boat there and back to the sand bar restos is cheap, though even if you speak spanish they have a slightly different accent in acapulco area and will pick you immediately even if you are mexicanos.

In la barra township itself theres not much. One good resto on the right. There is a beautiful place behind the stonewall on your left, hotel and resto,

Baby turtles are hatching now, I’ve seen them but not at the turtle release place. Road hazards with legs include horses, cows, pigs aside from dogs and cats. Inshould mention there is a new place called kris mar. Not been yet but it looks great. Lagoon side.big white building. Around the 10km mark.

Very nice / however, only two rooms are open / I couldn’t understand when other rooms would be open

Well preserved fortress. Come early to avoid the heat / allow one hour

The boat ride to the island was fun. The crew on the boat was friendly and the divers were amazing to watch. The island itself is beautiful, but the beach is super crowded and there are a lot of rocks in the water. The restaurant on the beach was good, but again, very crowded. It is also a little expensive by Mexican standards, but I did enjoy my shrimp cocktail. If you order a pina colada you must specify that you want alcohol, otherwise you'll receive a pineapple and coconut juice drink without alcohol. Also, be aware that the bathroom facilities on the island leave a lot to be desired.

The Costera is the beach strip around Acapulco harbour. Here you will find all your main hotels, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, casinos, malls, stores - it is a hive of activity. The beach is okay though it is very crowded, especially weekends. The hotels all have pools as you would expect.
You can have a very long walk through the Costera in complete safety with no hassle from vendors - there is though a very large militaristic police presence here, but we did not feel unsafe. A good place to walk around.

The mural is gorgeous. Great spot for photos. The house is not open to the public, but you can park on the side of the street and get out to take a look. Beautiful!

What a fantastic day to end my trip to Acapulco. Booked a Hidden Paradise tour with Sunwing. Our Tour Guide Roger was excellent, he is very friendly, pleasant and funny. Roger can speak excellent English and French. I have had Roger (or his nick name Roger Dodger) as a tour guide on other tours and he puts so much effort and passion in his presentations. Roger had a scrapbook that he put together of photos of all the wildlife we would see on the boat ride through the Lagoon. And if Roger could not find a picture of a bird to include in his scrapbook, he had hand drawn the pictures, so he is quite artistically talented. The boat driver was very sweet smiley man and he always tried to steer the boat into tight hidden areas to catch a glimpse of a bird. I gave him a tip as I thought the boat driver tried very hard to please everyone and even though he could not speak English, I felt like he communicated with his happy smile. I am not sure of the name of the area that we started from but there was a sign at the entrance that said Beto Godoy. I loved the Lagoon boat ride, it was so scenic and we saw a lot of birds.
Also included in the Hidden Paradise tour was an interesting stop at Campamento Tortuguero Playa Hermosa to release the baby turtles and then a lovely lunch of appetizers and Red Snapper ( A La Talla) at Restaurant Esmirna del Mar.

I recommend the night shows. Fabulous with unexpected stuff. Who thought they'd climb the cliffs barefoot? Wow! Didn't have dinner.

A must to visit the "malecon", and the tourist area but stay only in the tourist zone and do NOT venture into the areas away from the beach since they can be very dangerous. Tourists are easy targets by gangs and robbers. If you are not local, hire a local guide to take you.
