- Gryphons98Guelph, Canada35 contributionsThank you to Marten at Cadushy Distillery for providing us with a tour and tasting after a long day driving and snorkeling through Washington-Slagbaai National Park. We were able to sample all of the liqueurs as well as several rums... delicious! Our kids enjoyed a Sprite while watching the birds and playing with the cats. All in all, a great way to wrap up the day.Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- 6t1Saint John, Canada124 contributionsThe museum is good for about an hour in the middle of a hot day in Bonaire. You will get a sense of the early years of the island and of course colonialism and slavery.Written 10 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The museum is well stocked with items and information that answers a lot of questions about the history of Bonaire and the culture. I was surprised it was all written in English but it was explained to me that people who speak Papiamento know their history and so many other tourists (and Dutch) speak English. We were fascinated and were the only one there at the time so we really enjoyed taking our time reading and looking over everything. I plan to return for the monthly events!Written 10 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Annemiek KAmsterdam, The Netherlands2 contributionsThe people at the jungle concept store are very helpful. They have a variety of clothes, jewelry, bikinis. I recommend visiting this store.Written 21 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Adrian YLeiden, The Netherlands631 contributionsThis small, free, museum (there is a donation box) is worth half an hour of anyone's time.
A few bits of local history are of interest.
The addition of a, post COVID, kringloopwinkel (charity shop is the best translation for UK visitors) shows the societal importance of culture.Written 18 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John KSan Jose, CA11 contributionsSome beautiful art in several different formats. Prints are reasonably priced so we picked up three. There are also originals for sale, but we did not inquire as to the price. The art portrays many different aspects of Bonaire, from the colorful waterfront to abstract images of sailboats, from local wildlife to beautiful coral reefs. This is the perfect place to find mementos of Bonaire and to support a local artist at the same time. Check it out!Written 7 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Eleanor W2 contributionsThis house museum was amazing, easy to set up (just call the number a day in advance or even day of!) and gave us (divers) a really great understanding of the island aside from the touristy part. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to understand Bonaire and some history of the people who live there a little bit better!Written 17 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jennifer R1 contributionI participated in a workshop making ornaments.
It was so much fun!
It was a small group and there was pizza and drinks waiting for us when we got there.
They explained how everything works and had a demonstration.
And then we got to go wild. I ended up making 5 ornaments. (See pictures below)
Because it takes so long to be in the oven we could pick everything up by the end of the week.
I can’t wait until there’s another workshop. I already have some friends that want to come along.Written 15 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My husband and I had massages with Angelique and Matthew. Both were very knowledgeable and provided great therapeutic deep tissue massages. We also had facials which were great. If you are looking for quality services without a fancy/expensive environment, this is it!Written 2 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Freya G2 contributionsIt was my first time diving, so I did a dsd at dive friends. It was an amazing experience! and I enjoyed it very much. At first I had some trouble breathing but the my sweet instructor Davide worked his magic and I did my first dive without any problems. You felt safe diving and he was good at spotting cool stuff in the water.
I can really recommend Dive Friends, they are always cheerful and friendly to be around. I came across Mona a great dive master, Camilla, Elizabeth, Diane, Brett and Eddy at my stay with them….all some lovely people and good divers
So choose this plays if you want a good diving experience both in and out of the waterWritten 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Marc PCornwall, Canada1 contributionJust returned from a 5 week stay in Bonaire, we spent the first 4 days getting familiar with the island and scoping out Dive Shops (and there are plenty of them!). I was thinking of taking the Dive Master course but none of the shops really stood out, until I went to VIP Diving. The building is open and very welcoming, the staff are responsive, engaging, and very knowledgeable! After meeting with Maarten a few times I signed up for the DM course without hesitation. He was an excellent teacher and a wealth of knowledge, overall it was an awesome learning experience. My 2 classmates had the same opinion and turned to be great dive buddies for rest of our stay.
If you’re in Bonaire for 1 day, 1 week, or longer you’ll get the best value for “all of your diving needs”.
