What travellers are saying
- Wander025470469604 contributionsGood wreck dive . Ship lies in 60 -109 feet of water depending on which end you are on. Open cargo hold with easy access. Accessible from shore but do it as a boat.Written 22 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SittaHelsingborg, Sweden284 contributionsYellow huts and blue sea, made for some interesting photos. Although the history is worth thinking about, not in the least when on holiday.Written 30 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark GCatonsville, MD3,366 contributionsPulling into the harbor on the Carnival Horizon, Ft. Oranje was the 1st thing to catch our eye sitting along the harbor with its attractive orange facade and red roofs. Built in 1639 by the Dutch West India Company, it is the oldest structure on the island. It was rebuilt in 1816 and named Ft. Oranje and the lighthouse was added in1932. It apparently never saw battle and in its later years has been used as a prison, fire department, police department and museum. It was nice to walk around the small complex and try to interpret some of the plaques written in Dutch.Written 3 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eleanor W2 contributionsThis house museum was amazing, easy to set up (just call the number a day in advance or even day of!) and gave us (divers) a really great understanding of the island aside from the touristy part. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to understand Bonaire and some history of the people who live there a little bit better!Written 17 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DannyBeinsdorp, The Netherlands1,646 contributionsMalmok lies in Washington Slagbaai in the southern part on the coast . It is pretty interesting to see Malmok here in a part which so beautiful but also desolate .
Anyway, I'd advise to go and have a look while the long route .Written 21 March 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
