One of the most unreal experiences traveling in Nicaragua. So many things to do in one place, the local people are the friendliest you can find and the visitors come from all over the world. Ideal to disconnect from the world and simply enjoy the moment. My first solo trip in Nicaragua and I totally recommend it. At Los Mangos Beach you can see the most memorable sunsets of your life, without exaggerating...

The museum is great! We had a tour with one of the guides. He didn't speak much English but he used an app to translate. It worked really well. We learned so much!

100% recommend renting scooters off Elmer!! He was so helpful, gave us recommendations on the best things to see/driving times, roads to avoid and even offered to take me for a test drive as it was my first time on a scooter! His shop is also right next to the ferry port which is really handy!

It was a wonderful experience exploring Ometepe island with Eric.

All from booking, to the end of the trip was smooth and easy. We explored the island in a comfortable setting, away from large groups of tourists.

Eric is a local on the island and knows all about it.

He is very friendly and made us comfortable during the trip.
There were three of us and we were in a very comfortable and clean pickup truck.

I would highly recommend him as a tour guide on the island.

This is a scenic way to get to Ometepe Island. There are a few different ferry companies that can take you across to the island. We caught the 10:30am Ferry III. If you get seasick easily, try to get a bigger ferry so that you can have a smoother ride. The ferry takes and hour and costs around 50 cordobas per person.

This is a nice local park in the centre of town in Moyogalpa. It has a nice family feel and plenty of play equipment, including a basketball court. There’s a decent amount of shade and plenty of seats.

Our hostel booked Eric for us for a hike to the mirador on Concepcion and this was a first class recommendation.

This was probably the best nature walk/hike I have been on (and I have been on a few around the world). Eric’s knowledge is second to none on the area, the flora and fauna - he spotted animals and insects that we would have never have seen. We saw so many monkeys, different insects and lizards etc and learned so much about the different habitants of Concepcion it was an incredible hike.

Eric’s passion, enthusiasm and knowledge for his home of Ometepe and nature was infectious. He tailored the pace and was quick to point out so many different things along the way he was incredible and 100 per cent recommend anyone on Ometepe to engage with Eric for a trip or two. We requested a bi lingual guide and Eric’s English was brilliant. thank you so much Eric for sharing your knowledge and passion for the creature of Ometepe with us. Julia

We got in contact with danilo some days before our arrival. He organized our tour do the concepción with the local guide lazaro, who was a great guy. Also the scooter rental worked out perfect, danilo was always on time and helped us during our whole stay on the island. We would highly recommend this company!

Definitely a great idea to rent a scooter to go around Ometepe island. We stayed in Cabañas privadas Dilany with Javier and his family who welcomed us. We rent a scooter for 2 days at a good price and he even offered to keep our bags for a day and offered us an additional half day for free!
We had a small accident due to our own fault (be careful in the sand) but Javier was really comprehensive and gave us a good customer service and made the price as fair as possible for us.
    Thanks again! I recommend

Did the waterfall and ojo de agua tours, very reasonably priced and they were very patient in waiting for us at every stop, almost like a full day private tour just to your group. Helpful guide and very good at navigating tough terrain especially the area blown away by the recent typhoon. Would strongly recommend for your hikes in the area!
