Much less crowded than Digha or Mondarmoni nearby. Has a quaint charm, with cute lagoons or small inlets in the beach. Not accessible from all areas though, as there are rocks and slush. High tides leave almost the entire beach flooded.

Convenient shacks are scattered on the beach that offer light refreshments and coconut water.

Don't compare with Goa, Puri or Vizag. This place still retains an old world charm.

This is a shaktipeeth in tamluk , west Bengal. If you see the 51 shaktipeeth you will find the name of vibasha in tamluk but if you go to tamluk the only shaktipeeth is this temple. Going before 12 noon you can do the puspanjali and also enjoy the bhog. Other places like rajbari etc is a sheer waste of time .

Kanak Durga is the ancestral deity of the Royal family. The Kanak Durga temple is an ancient and historically famous temple. Ma Kanak Durga is the reigning deity and devotees visit the temple for worship / seek blessing from the divine deity. We had visited the temple in the evening, the temple is situated amidst the forest, a children park is also developed inside the temple campus. From the parking, there was a small walk through the forest to temple, the pathway from parking to temple is stoned and well maintained. The temple is small and reasonably maintained. When we visited, there was limited crowd and hence we could peacefully do the puja and darshan, the priest was very caring and satisfactorily did the puja offering for us. The temple campus was reasonably maintained, observed lots of monkeys in the campus, vigil is recommended to avoid any encounter with them. Paid parking and small shops are available at the entry point Overall, it was a divine visit of an ancient temple.

I went to Kali Temple. The Kali Temple in Nutan bazaar is very popular. Idols of Kali are highly revered in this area. The evening prayer held at the temple is especially witnessed by devotees, who some times travel from nearby towns. It is great place to go.

Gopegarh, i believe very few people know about it.It's nice place to visit, and if you need can stay also. Now it is more a picnic spot than a staying place. Tourist who loves nature must visit this place and can have a one night stay having all facilities with AC room, good food and lovely nature.

Suggestion to Administration & Tourist :-
    1) Plastic & thermocol use to be stopped.
    2) No picnic should be allowed.
    3) The area should be kept neat & clean.

The science centre is situated at New Digha, there is an entry fee of Rs. 25 per head. The Science Centre houses some interesting science related displays / activates like floating ball, funny image, fun memories, refection, 3D theaters etc. An interesting place especially for children.

Moynagarh, situated at almost 100 km from Kolkata ( you will have to get down at Nimtouri more on Mecheda-Haldia Highway and go towards Sreerampore more ) is the habitation of Moyna Raj dynasty which is quite old. It's the property of Bahubolindro's. The Garh is surrounded with 2 parallel trenches and coconut trees. It's beautiful and no less beautiful than Kerala backwater. The name of Moynagarh is found in Dharmamangal. There is a mazar of Irani Sufi too. The old palace has been destroyed but there is one jackfruit tree which is 250 yrs old. There are 2 temples---one of Lord Shiva and one of Radha- madhav , Shiva Temple is very old. The star attraction of Moynagarh is Ras Yatra when Radha-madhav travels on a boat along the backwater on the full-moon night. One must visit it.

I went to Kameswar Temple. Kameswar Temple is believed to be an ancient temple dated back to 5000 years back during the days of Pandavas. However, edifice of the temple is not very old. It is great place to go.
