It genuinely felt like a tropical beach and wasn't cluttered with filthy umbrellas and loungers as Kata beach was. Beautiful sunsets and some nice restaurants and bars along the stretch. The buffet room was mind-blowing. The room is enormous, with a wide variety of cuisine available.
The elephants are majestic, but I can't help feeling sorry for them, because they really belong in the wild, and not exploited for a cash-grab.

We have done an ATV ride the last 3 times visiting Phuket, each time we use a different track so we get to see something different each time. This track by far was the most challenging and fun. Not for a beginner as some of the track is quite difficult but the guide will help you on your ATV if needed. The cliff view was spectacular and guides were very friendly taking pics for us along the way. - Danks KnowsShoalhaven, Australia2,261 contributionsThe 20th anniversary of the Tsunami is approaching and sadly the Tsunami memorial at Kamala Beach is looking very neglected and run down. There are in fact two pieces to the memorial both need a lot of work to restore them.
The memorial is basically just off Kamala Beach in the street running by the beach, it is next to the green bridge in the middle of the beach.

It is a typical Muslim Graveyard with unmarked, gravestone-less graves.
