    Review of: Rusutsu Resort Ski
    Absolute gem for skiing and snow activities
    Stunning resort in a perfect mountain setting. Power soft snow and world class facilities. Free 2-hr shuttle from near Sapporo Station. Lots of other stuff to do if you dont want to ski with many restaurants for dining, from inexpensive food courts to fine dining. Try the onsen which has indoor and outdoor sections. Voted best Ski Resort in Japan 3 years running and truly deserved.

    Review of: 230 Rusutsu Michi-No-Eki
    Famers market has a lot fresh vegetables to choose.
    We can only select some sweet corns to take home since we stay at westin hotel. But there are great foods every places we visited.

    Review of: Kaitaku no Haha Statue
    Subtle but meangful
    A very simple, unpretentious statue in Furusato Park which still had clumps of snow on the ground when we visited which makes us wonder how beautiful this area must look in winter. Wildflowers sprouting and beautiful green grasslands in this very quiet park. Loved the storyline behind the building of this statue and its' simplicity. A lesson to all.

    Review of: Rusutsu Resort Amusement Park
    Fantastic place to ski
    Took a day trip from Hirafu to ski Rusutsu.
    Need to book at Welcome center, ¥8600 include bus fare and 1 day ski pass. Good value, considering an All Mountain Pass at Hirafu is about the same.

    There are 2 ski areas in Rusutsu: East Mountain and West Mountain. Only had time to ski the East- long runs, plenty of nice trees area for the immediate skiers. Much quieter than Hirafu.

    Review of: Hot Spring - Kotobuki
    Magical
    In the still of the dark night as one watches falling snow, immersing one’s body in an onsen bath of 41 degree Celsius hot spring water, while simultaneously feeling the -7 degrees chilly snow flakes and freezing air on one’s bare face and skin, is simply magical.

    The brand new public bath is gorgeous and superbly well equipped and thoughtful.

    Review of: Amuse Rental Rusutsu
    Great ski rental and summer kayak rental business in Rusutsu
    We had excellent service here. It's just across the road from the Rusutsu ski resort and we hired all our ski gear there. They carefully measured feet and filled out forms then went away and brought us the equipment - fitted it while we sat in comfort! Then everything was labelled and put in clean bags. One staff member spoke a bit of English so we managed quite well. The next day I forgot my ski jacket so I rented one from them - they brought me several to choose from! The price was reasonable and the gear was in good condition. Why would you bother lugging your own gear? Highly recommeded.

    Review of: Captain Bar Rusutsu
    Under that blanket of snow is a little bar with charm!
    This is a great place to have a few drinks after enjoying the powder snow all day. The bartender has lots of great tips for getting off-piste. Good selection of sake and whisky. And a dart board in the back. Cozy stove keep s the place nice and warm.

    Review of: Rusutsu Resort Public Bath South Wing
    Ordinary bath without Japan traditional onsen feeling
    This is like a bath area instead of traditional onsen . If you look for something more traditional and ryokan feel , Just forget it .
