This was my fist out of twelve nights in Mongolian countryside. Gers (yurt family stays), grazing animals, horses etc. The best thing was the possibility to hike the surrounding rocks.

One is reminded of pictures of the American Grand Canyon, however, baga gazriin chuluu has a charm of its own. It is blanketed in history, some of it bloody, from what I heard from a tour guide who chatted with me, while his wards wandered...More
