Loved our tour of this Palazzo especially the Grotto -which was totally unique to me and I’m a palace enthusiast! Easy boat ride to the island . Give yourself at least 45 minutes to 1 hour for the palazzo and 30 minutes for the gardens....More

The most beautiful building on this island, and still lived in by a family member, the Italianate garden was amazing, with views across to Stresa, cafe and shop expensive, and try to go later in the day to avoid tours.
Did the usual trip to the islands and paid what I thought was a steep entrance fee. However the islands are wonderful, the houses interesting (especially if you like old paintingd and puppets) and the gardens are stunning.

The island is hardly wheelchair accessible. The are some ramps going up from the private boat peer. And with regular boatservice you will be able to visit the main street. However most establishments aswell as the palace and gardens (which will recuire you to take a flight of stairs up,than down, than up again and down again aswell as three different levels in the gardens (only stairways)) are not very accessible.
