- Miles2 contributionsLovely distillery, wonderful people, great spirits! The first thing they said to is when we walked in was “have you ever drink a cactus?” Which was followed by a complimentary east of their cadushy of Bonaire liqueur which was delicious. Then Kris showed us around and told us how they make their drinks and explained the origin of the distillery as well as the story of each alcohol they make. We got to sample the liquors the produce and then had some cocktails on their patio. It was such a wonderful experience and i even bought a few bottles to bring home with me back to the US. I am really looking forward to making some of my own cocktails with their spirits of Bonaire!Visited May 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 9 May 2023
- KatieWorld12 contributionsEnjoyable visit, great for souvenirsWe went in the late afternoon to Cadushy right before they closed. Jan gave us a wonderful overview and tasting. We appreciated their staying open a little late for us. We bought several souvenirs, and Jan advised us accurately and helpfully on travel limits for bringing home the delicious liqueurs/alcohol in carry-on and checked bags. We also loved the cats and birds!Visited May 2023Written 13 May 2023
- KristenWinston Salem, North Carolina5 contributionsRum TastingWe stopped here on our tour and tried some rum. Some were great, others tasted like cough medicine. The green was our favorite. It was a cool place. The birds were colorful and we learned how they pick up cactus. Highly recommend!Visited June 2023Written 28 June 2023
- Julie M21 contributionsFun side tripA fun little trip into Rincon. The tours takes only 10-15 minutes. The staff was cheerful, pleasant and knowledgeable. Kris answered all our questions. It was fun to sample all of the products. A nice sitting area to watch the local birds. The only downer was the lack of food options. There is a limit to how much you can/should sample without food. There was nothing offered to eat with the samples. We went on a Tuesday and couldn’t find places to eat after the tour. So maybe pack a picnic so that you can linger and enjoy the bar.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 July 2023

For starters very clean bathrooms! The distillery itself is lovely and there were quite a few beautiful trees and birds about. The staff was great very friendly and not pushy for you to buy their goods. I purchased their house whiskey to bring home to my husband and he says he likes it very much. They also had nice ice cold soda and water available for purchase - a real God send on a 99 degree day!!Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 15 November 2023

We tasted their rum, vodka, and whiskey and especially loved the run. We splurged and bought a Limited Edition bottle of Rom Rincon and a bottle of whiskey and had no trouble bringing them home to the US in our checked suitcase. Yolanda was especially helpful. Their history and tour were very interesting and we loved sitting in their botanical garden area and watching the colorful birds. People are friendly. We got to taste all the different flavors. They explained the differences to us before we bought them. They also had some excellent Rum. You can only buy this in Bonaire and they don't export it or ship it anywhere.

An experience unlike anything else on the island. The liqueurs and liquors are quite delicious! The tour was quick and informative, people extremely friendly, atmosphere perfect. Come for bird watching too! Tastings and tour were no charge (we tasted everything) although we did buy some rum!

This is an ideal activity for your last day before taking the plane home when you're going to dive. it's a small place and you only need 20 minutes to visit it and taste some of the drinks. The drive there is nice and gives you the opportunity to see another side of the island.

Hi Chris,
Yes the Calbas of Curacao Liqueur taste sweet and fruity. You can take as many bottles as you like in your checked luggage, as long as you declare them at arrival. Duty-free you can take 2 liters.
Salu! Cheers!

We will be a party of 5 Adults and will be in port on the Carnival Sunshine on 22 Nov 2017. We are wanting to do a Tour and Tasting of the rum. Also will be looking for recommendations for place to get a Taste of the local foods as we are also "Foodies".
Thanks for any information that you can provide me

Hi, You are most welcome to visit our distillery. There are different options to get to the distillery. If you want to explore Rincon and have lunch there its best to rent some transportation (golfcard or car). The best restaurant in Rincon is Posada Para Mira, it has local dishes and great views over the valley of Rincon. Please check out the Cadushy website for more tips. Kind Regards, Eric

We'll be visiting via cruise ship in early May, 2017. How far from the port is the distillery? People mentioned renting golf carts on Bonaire - is this trip doable by golf cart? Any recommendations?

Hi Pat,
The Cadushy Distillery is located in Rincon. Rincon is about 18 kilometers from the pier in Kralendijk. We do get visitors who drive to Rincon in a golf cart. We do recommend renting a golf cart from "Cruisers Bonaire". Those are suitable for driving to Rincon. BUT... Its much more relaxed and maybe safer to rent a taxibus with guide and driver. One of the best Taxi-drivers/guides is Stanley Balentin. Or a self driving tour with Roadrunner Bonaire.
Kind Regards,
Eric

I haven't seen golf cart rentals on Bonaire. Theire are some other tours available that may bring you to Rincon. But even if there are golf carts it's too far from Kralendik, probably a half an hour by car.

How far is the Distillery from the cruise ship port?
There will be a party of 6, what is the approximate cost to get to your distillery?
Thanks

Hi Paul,
The Cadushy Distillery is in the located oldest village of Bonaire, Rincon. It takes you about a 15 minute drive from the cruise pier. there are several options to get there. The best way is to take a taxi. One of the beste taxi-drivers/tour guides is Stanley Balentin You contact him upfront by emil or phone. Phone: +599-7882179 Email: stanleybalentin-at-yahoo.coom
Or just walk onto the pier and ask for a tour to Cadushy. Cost will vary depending on the several variables.
Make sure you have enough time to stay at our distillery to see and taste everything. Bring your good mood, Salu! Cheers! Enjoy!
