The only place I buy my leather gloves! The one place you can find a variety of gloves styles and fits. I usually walk away with at least 2 pairs as I can always find the right pair to fit and the workmanship is absolutely worth every penny!

Stopped by while waiting for my dog at the vet and was happy to find this hidden gem. They have beautiful quality leather gloves, and knit cashmere gloves, sweaters, hats, scarves and wraps. Some are silk and other beautiful blends. The store manager was so helpful finding the right sizes, styles and colors and I am thrilled with my purchases - hat, scarves, gloves, 3 button long cashmere hoodie sweater and 3-way wrap! I'll definitely be back next year when we return from the U.S. to our cottage in the 1000 Islands.

A definite must-trip for any fashionista looking to find the perfect on-point gloves, hats, and cashmere wraps.
I received excellent customer service. The owner measured my hand to get the perfect fit for my new gloves.
There is a little museum inside the building that walks you through the history of the company. Lots of vintage sewing machines on site.
Definitely worth the trip from Montreal or Ottawa.

We love this spot. Cashmere socks, pashminas, hats, what's not to like ? All at very discounted prices. And an excellent place for gifts. Give yourself a treat (and a break in this covid period) and visit this shop in Prescott.
We will be back.

We had the pleasure of shopping at Portolano yesterday. A beautiful store with great staff ! The selection of gorgeous leather gloves,-in every color I might add,-makes choosing difficult but with the help of staff I managed to narrow it down to two colors.
The sweaters,hats and scarves- oh my!

Yesterday my husband and I, along with our cousins, took a drive to Prescott Ontario, We had decided to visit the Portolano Outlet. It was really a beautiful store, so much to see and choose from. The softest leather gloves,the warm and soft wool hats, the shawls, the blankets, as well as the woolen gloves, I also really enjoyed the company of the store manager, as well as the sales associate Karen. They are so pleasant and I must say the manager did explain the full history of the Portolano brand name. I would highly recommend a visit to Portolano if you are in the Prescott area. Or just looking for a day trip away. I know for sure I will be going back.

What a surprising treat~we absolutely loved it!! We were approached by Sandra and had a delightful conversation about the history of the building and the company. The products are fabulous. This really is a must see kind of place to fully appreciate it. This was my first visit but won’t be my last!!

Saundra and Karen were absolutely fabulous; very welcoming and eager to help! The store has a rustic, industrial feel to it and has a lot of cool historic facts and machines when you walk in! Definitely recommend!!

The place is small, although currently undergoing renovation, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the deals are out of this world. My best buys over the past couple of decades are too many to list here, but a couple of them I will mention. My daughter and I have amassed over the decades a collection of "fancy" lace and old-fashioned gloves that we keep in a dress-up bag for my granddaughter, who played non-stop with them on her recent visit to our home. I also love what staff call the DogWalkers, suede mitts made from small bits of remainders from other larger sewn projects, I am guessing. These are the warmest mitts I have owned in my life. I have skated on the Rideai canal skateway for decades and my only regret about skating is that I did not discover the DogWalkers until a couple of seasons ago. No expensive, high tech, goretex, thermal or whatever mitt even comes close to the very reasonably priced DogWalkers for skating and my hands are always toasty warm now even if the temperature is in the minus 30s. I highly recommend the Portolano Glove Factory.
