This aquarium is only small and wont take long to get around but it is still a nice place to visit if in Aguilas.
It is free to enter and has other displays where you can see fishing exibits and shells from the local area. It won't take long but it is a nice place to visit for half an hour or so.

Came upon this by accident walking around town. Nice place to spend half an hour, especially when it is too hot. Will go back as ran out of time.

I appreciate its free - which I dont think it should be - at least charge 1 euro for kids and 2 euros for adults.
At least 3 or 4 of the aquarium displays were under improvement (empty !) The whole visit took us 15 mins.
The facility has no public toilet either.

This building appears to be an old fishing boat, mounted on top of a building.
Despite the sign on the wall saying that the centro de interpretacion opened at 10am tuesdays to fridays, when i asked, i was told it didnt open until 12am - then it closes at 1pm for siesta.
Apart from that you can clamber around the old fishing boat and view the dozen or so tropical fish tanks, on display beneath the boat. Notices with descriptions of the taks contents are in English & Spanish.

The aquarium isn't big but interesting for little children. There is also a boat to visit and a museum with a lot of information about the sea around Aguilas.
There is no fee to pay. Not everything is translated in Engish
