Had the best time at the Maldives and the reason for that is mostly the exciting dives and dive courses I did at Atoll Scuba with my dive instructor Shaff.
Amazing dive sides and good weather ensured holidays I'll never forget.
Cheers Dylan

Maldives has always been a great diving destination and Shaff our dive master made the experience extra wonderful! We saw tones of interesting marine life and colorful reefs and were very well taken care of. Highly recommend and ask for Mr Riley after you come back to the land ;)

Shaff and Atoll Scuba gave me the experience of a lifetime! I was in the Maldives shooting a film where I play a dive instructor so it was crucial that I learnt all the skills. It was my first time diving and Shaff was an incredible instructor! I even managed to get my Open Water Certificate because of how brilliant a teacher he is! He took us to the most spectacular dive sites where we dived with fish, turtles, manta rays and sharks and all under the guidance of an instructor who not only knows what he’s doing but inspires you with the confidence to make you feel safe. I am eternally grateful to Shaff and Atoll Scuba for changing my life and would recommend him to both first time and advanced divers because this has been an experience I will never forget.

The very fact of being in the Maldives was wonderful enough, but Shaff [Shafraz Naeem] really helped make our trip to Bodufolhudhoo extra special. Not only was he my very attentive and confidence-inspiring instructor for my first ever scuba dive (who could be a better instructor than a former member of the Maldivian Special Forces?), but he was also generous in his recommendations and in providing extra gear to help make our snorkeling around the island more comfortable. I should add too that he was also very hospitable and friendly with excellent humor throughout our week on the island and we ended up enjoying many long conversations with him about life, the sea, family and diving. He's fluent in English with a lot of experience both with Westerners in the Maldives and during his own travels abroad, so he could not only understand our perspectives but he also could very effectively translate his own perspective to us. In this way, he gave us not only friendship but a much deeper connection to the island, people and place that we visited than we ever could have gotten on our own. We really hope to stay in touch and to cross paths with him again in one corner of the world or another. We'd like to say a few words about Moosa too. We ended up hiring him at least four different times to take us on trips to see manta rays and dolphins and more remote reefs, and we enjoyed our time with him. He drove the boat well, kept an eye on us in the water and was a good animal spotter from his perch in the boat while we snorkeled below. His English was far from fluent, but we were always able to sort out what we wanted to communicate with him. And we were touched that he really wanted us to have a good time and was very disappointed alongside us when we failed to see dolphins on one of our trips out (and was very happy with us when we stumbled on a pod of over a hundred dolphins a few days later). Shaff and Moosa gave us a great time in the Maldives and we're very grateful for having met them and would highly recommend hiring them both during your visit to the area.

I believe that good people make experiences great. Shaff is an awesome instructor. He is also the owner of Atoll Scuba. Shaff has many years of experience as a diver. He brings all this experience and know-how into his diving. The atmosphere in and around the Atoll Scuba Dive Centre is peaceful and relaxed. A good place to go diving, hang out, meet and make friends with fellow divers and share diving stories. Shaff has hundreds to tell. The dive sites nearby are also amazing. The house reef itself is full of life. However, short boat rides can take divers to experience drift diving in moderate currents with a vast plethora of sea life to be seen, and close encounters to be had (These include reef sharks, sting rays, eagle rays, large schooling fish like tuna, snappers, trevally and Napoleon wrasse). Shaff's assistant, Moosa, is also a friendly and amiable character. The both of them strive to make the Atoll Scuba jetty a welcoming and friendly place. In addition to Scuba Diving, Atoll scuba arranges fishing trips, snorkelling trips. If you are a diver, I strongly recommend a visit to Bodufolhudoo for a few days of diving with Shaff.

Visited the Maldives with a friend of mine and we decided to go diving! Shaff, the instructor, was the best and showed the amazing underwater world! Can’t explain how beautiful it was to see the colorful fish and how professional Shaff was! Best place to go diving with a very impressive person! Don’t miss it out!

In spite all the rave reviews, I will add a few more personal observation.

Atoll scuba is run by Shaff, a very experienced military diver, now officially the Maldivian Photographer appointed by the government. (i.e. top photographer in country).

The location is perfect, we a nice shallow slope of 1.5m for open waters and going down to 20ish meters. Perfect for pelagics and wrecks.

The place is run by Shaff and Moosa, which they are always there to tend to your needs. Shaff stays there, so you can have twilight dives, night dives, early morning dives, all made possible by his superb planning.

We were there doing twinset, sidemount diving, and shaff is always there to support.

Apart from knowing the best spots, he always emphasize safety, which is a plus point.

Just be aware, you can select any DC and they give good service at comparable price, but there can only be one Shaff.

My future home at Maldives.
