ART NOUVEAU AT ITS BEST
Jul 2018 • Couples
This beautiful example of art nouveau was built in 1901, following the design by architect Severino Achucarro, from Bilbao.

It is now a residential building in the four floors, and used by a bank entity in the ground floor, where plenty materials, including wood, iron, have been used.

Its monumental façade is asymmetrical, oriented towards the sea, in which the angled finish stands out with a battery of viewpoints topped by a double spire. The same inspiration presents the windows, among which the two circular ones of the first floor stand out, and the decorations, with vegetative motives.

When built, it was practically facing a narrow street leading to the open sea. Both the park and the quay which close down the bay were later creations.
