Family of 9 stayed for a couple of hours. Great swimming and snorkeling. Little food / drink stand on the property. Friendly family atmosphere.

Busy! €5 for one sun lounger? Too expensive. Lovely beach but very busy and lots of other nicer beaches elsewhere. Try Foki beach instead

Very pretty beach with beautiful blue water but can get busy. Overall spoilt by the beach ‘canteen’ playing loud music. Who needs it really? Spoils what should be a peaceful beach.

To tell the truth I didnt found something so exceptional. Is just a small clean cove with clear waters like many on the island and in Greece. Skiping the thing that is very far from everywhere and near Fiskardo village I can not imagine how it will be on a crowdy day. Not many parking spots and even that we went on a not busy day it was almost full but we found easily parking spot and place to seat. It gets better as time passes by since many people are leaving.
The positive is the hidden road which leads to Kimilia beach a completely private and hidden beach.
The great negative is the canteen which is monopoly there and the charge of 1,20 euro for a small bottl of water is ridiculous. Plus the attitude and the bad behaviour.
Save your money and have things with you

An absolutely beautiful beach! White pebbles, turquoise water. No amenities aside from a snack van but we had such a lovely afternoon there. Would recommend a visit.

I didn't swim here because I was leaving Fiskardo that day, but I am very glad I stoped by to see it!! Seemed great for swimming! There is some parking and a small place for snacks and something to drink. You can walk here from Fiskardo on the main road or take a path from the end of the pier. Bring your umbrella or hat and sunblock 🤓😎

Hidden near fiskardo village and reachable by car and on foot is one of the loveliest mini beaches of Kefalonia. No need for an umbrella as you can find shade under the rocks and best visited between 8-10am or 6-8pm

There’s a few beaches to choose from in the area but our favourite was Emplisi beach. It’s not so much charming or picturesque; it’s simply gobsmacking. There’s no beach beds or umbrellas but that only added to the rustic, unspoilt charm. As the beach is a mixture of sand and pebbles the sea is as a bell. Not a bell made of iron, they are opaque. You can’t see through iron. But a bell made of glass. Inevitably, in such a beautiful spot there has to be something to wind you up. Someone has to screw up paradise.

At the end of the beach there’s a bar. Splendid idea… hot beverages… chilled drinks… tasty snacks… What could go wrong? What could go wrong is the musical taste of the bar owner. He seemed to be a musical evangelist for 1970s prog rock, specifically the ones with lengthy guitar solos. All played plenty loud through cheap speakers. At the touch of a button, he turned heaven into hell. Okay. I’m exaggerating, but he certainly bugged me. So much so that one day we left to find another beach, and failed. We got lost. I put my headphones on drowned him out.

There were times when some other people ran the bar and the music improved, and was turned down. But the arrogance and bad taste of this bar owner scarred my experience of Emplisi beach I’m sorry to say. Even if he had played music to my taste it would not justify imposing it on others.

A beautiful location was ruined for me.

Emplisi beach is a stony beach nestled in an enchanting bay with turquoise waters. The only downside is that is a bit busy. We went at the end of August but still, it was quite crowded with children.
There is a little bar selling food and drinks which also rents sunbeds. Emplisi beach is just a couple of minutes by car from Fiskardo. You can also reach the beach by walking along the main road. Don’t try to find a trail as we did because there isn’t one! Someone on the internet said there was a path from the ancient basilica in Fiskardo, so we decided to give it a go. We took the path and ended up in a resort asking a gardener for information!
So maybe it’s better to drive there. You can park alongside the street. If you decide to walk it should take around 20/25 minutes.
On the contrary, you might want to take the path just behind the bar. There is a gate but is open: from here just walk along the coast and enjoy the stunning view over Emplisi beach. This trail will take you to the secluded and lesser-known Manali beach.

Great beach. Stony but smooth pebbles. Beach bar rents a limited amount of sun beds and do a great Greek Salad for lunch. Classic Greek beach.
