A lovely gently sloping beach, ideal for families, with hardly anyone on it. That's the advantage of visiting at the end of October when the sea is still pleasant for swimming.

Enough beds and not crowded. Easy to while away a whole day and not notice it go despite strong winds and sometimes wild sea.

But sand/sea shoes advised for small toes. Sandy once you got out past the waves breaking and safe enough for my 5 yr old to happily go running in without fear. Showers along the promenade are a nice touch too.

Long narrow, pebbly/sandy beach. Some sunbeds and parasols available - 6 Euros. Need shoes to enter was as rather stony but the water is clear and warm at this time of the year. Plenty of space to lie and relax and not crowded. Many places...More

Lourdata is absolutely fine with lots of tavernas to choose from but there are much nicer beaches elsewhere on the island, so if you have a car I'd go elsewhere.

Easy to get to with plenty of beach side parking. Lots of choice for breakfast and lunch. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be free if you use appropriate taverns for food and drink. Highly recommend.

Between ourselves, I thought long and hard about writing this review. I love Kefalonia and I'm particularly fond of Lourdata. Every time I go there it feels like a second home. But, and it is a big but, deep down inside I wanted to keep...More

I would doubt it. We visited at the end of October and there were only 3 restaurants open at the end of the season! We had a hire car though and enjoyed driving around the island.
