This is potentially a fabulous place to visit. However, having poor mobility mean't that by the time I'd got up the hill from the car park, I was too exhausted to go on. Needs disabled parking within the reserve.

Great afternoon foraging with the Scouts. Absolutely stunning views, it would be superb for dog walking. Be careful in the undergrowth if you don’t know what you are looking at as we discovered some deadly nightshade

Recently ran a race organised by Saxon Shore, if you're looking for a testing run or walk, with beautiful views this is the one, I hear it's even more spectacular in Spring with the bluebells on show

Having lived close by, I have only recently discovered Ranscombe, and what a lovely discovery it was, I cant believe it wasn't already on Trip advisor. Parking available, no charge, but a donation is suggested to help with the up keep. No toilets or facilities...More
