I purchased a voucher as a gift last Christmas and yesterday was the first time we’d had the chance to use it.
The farm is set in beautiful countryside with lovely views. We chose to walk with an alpaca each rather than a lama, a bit smaller! We walked around the land for about an hour, our guide Rachael was lovely and friendly and so knowledgeable about all the animals. Our alpacas were called Elvis and Elliot.
After the walk we enjoyed a coffee and cake in the small cafe, and purchased some goods from the small gift shop.
Over all it was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, I would definitely recommend for anyone who likes to do something different, and I’m sure kids would love it here too.
All of the staff we spoke to were friendly, approachable and helpful. It was a joy to be there and a great way to support a local island business.

Fantastic hour spent walking the alpacas, me and my daughter throughly enjoyed walking “Fidget” the alpaca, who unlike his name was an absolute gem and so well behaved! All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. There’s a few other animals to look at and feed as a bonus after our walk. Would definetly walk the alpacas again!

Absolutely love this place. 2nd time for us. Last time we walked lamas and this time alpacs . £25 on your own or £35 for 2 to share 1 and you swap half way round. Very useful information being told on your way round the farm. Takes about 30 minutes. You stop at the top for pictures and just to love your alpaca. There are also pigmy goats ( so friendly) rabbits, Guinea pig, chickens, pony's and donkeys and pigs. We were lucky as the day before a lama had been born. If you pay for an alpaca/lama walk you get entry free otherwise its £10pp. You can purchase food to feed goats , lamas, alpacas £2 a cup. There is a gift shop, good parking, cafe and toilets. Definitely recommend.

We went for a visit here today and we have a lovely time. We walked Domino and Dick Dastardly 2 of their lovely Alpachas. The staff are all so lovely and clearly love their job and all the animals.
There are goats, 1 born yesterday and quite a few ready to give birth, pigs, donkeys, alpachas, lamas, rabbits, Guinea pigs, chickens, turkeys, quails and a 100 year old tortoise.
There are also eggs ready to hatch at any time.
The gift shop and cafe offer good value for money and the hot chocolate and jacket potatoes are very nice.
It’s definitely worth a visit.

Hi All,

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who made my brother’s visit so perfect yesterday.
Stuart has cerebral palsy but likes animals and his Meet and Greet with Elliot alpaca was amazing .

From the moment we arrived Kezzie gave us a warm and enthusiastic welcome . We spent a lovely few hours walking round and had lunch before the meet and greet .

Laura who brought Elliot to us was great . Even though my brother can’t talk she spoke very kindly to him and explained things to us all. Elliot was intrigued by Stuart and towards the end got very close to him which was wonderful to see .

. It’s so important for other guests to know how inclusive this experience is .

Best Wishes,
Caroline and Stuart .

We had an amazing time - it was the highlight of our trip! We took turns walking Larry the llama while learning lots of facts and seeing the wonderful views.

We also had a nice lunch in the cafe, stayed to feed the animals afterwards and made friends with the friendly cat!

Everyone was really helpful and friendly. We really appreciated their kind help when we experienced unexpected travel issues. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

A must to do when visiting the Island, staff are passionate about the Alpacas and full of information!

I booked the Alpaca walk for two and a different and wonderful experience. Albeit not the cheapest experience, but worth it all the same!

The walk lasts around 30-40 minutes with a chance to walk around afterwards to see the other animals, ducks and pigs.

Its a wonderful day out! Highly recommend as a must when visiting.

We visited in July with my disabled daughter who is in a wheelchair. It was lovely, relaxed and she was made very welcome. Coffee was the best we have had. We have been visiting for over 30 years and never been before, wrongly thinking it was only for walking the Alpacas. We will be visiting every year from now on. I loved it, relaxed, animals to stroke and touch and it was an actual mindful experience especially as a full time carer. Please keep this gem as it is as we now can not go to tapnell farm because it has forgotten its roots. Wonderful, see you next year.

We booked a joint Alpaca walk, and on arrival found out we’d be walking a Llama, I immediately panicked. How wrong I was!! We walked Phoenix and he was BEAUTIFUL! So gentle and calm, a joy to walk. We absolutely loved it. It was an experience we’ll never forget. Rachel was our group guide and she was fab, full of knowledge and made us feel at ease. You walk the beautiful farm, with a stop for photos and the llama to graze a while. The views are wonderful.
We also got to meet lots of baby goats, and their mums, adorable! Pigs, donkeys, Alpaca, chickens, rabbits, Guinea pigs. All so clearly loved and cared for. Great staff, nice little shop and cafe. A real gem on the Isle of Wight.

It was an absolute joy to walk Hugo and Goose the alpacas. We had an amazing time feeding the animals as well as walking the alpacas. The cafe is well worth the visit too.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
