There is huge rock you can climb, or jump between them, or just lie down under the bright sun light and enjoy the sound of ocean, the wind with taste of salt, the wave splash up in the gaps. There is shallow water you can...More

A very attractive beach, clean and gorgeous. Short, flat walk to and from the car park. We didn't find that the beach squeaked though. Plan to come when the tide is out so you can have fun between the granite boulders.

Squeaky Beach is in the Wilsons Promontory National Park. The beach's sand is made of pure white quartz. It's called Squeaky Beach because it squeaks when you walk on it. Ankle biters find it endlessly fascinating. The beach is only a short walk from the...More

Fabulous beach with great carparking. You have to walk in a way to get there - or walk around from Tidal River, but well worth the visit.

The sand is squeaky but there is a lot more to this place than that. The day I visited was sunny and the sea was rough. Devoid of crowds I enjoyed a superb afternoon.

Had a warm day to do this walk, parts were not easy but the end was well worth the effort. Watch out for snakes, others camping there saw 3.

There are warm shallow spots at Squeaky Beach, especially if it's been a hot day. The water isn't too murky, clean enough for a river. I'm sure your son will love it, especially if you're in the water with him. You've got... More
