According to Iwakuni’s website the shrine was built in 1626 by Kikkawa Hiromasa (son of Hiroie Kikkawa who built Iwakuni Castle). Google translator hasn’t been able to translate the text into anything remotely understandable so I don’t know much else about it. I stopped here along my walk from Nishi-Iwakuni Station to the bridge, it was pretty hard not to take a look around because the stairs leading up to it where lined by red banners that really stood out. They had a chinowa purification ring set up for the start of summer so I washed away my bad luck. Not sure if they do goshuin stamps but they do sell omamori.
