The appeal of walking over to Callot is witout doubt largely due to the thrill of walking on a sea-bed path that will be covered again as the tide rises - so make sure you check the tide times before you set off ! No cars are allowed to cross to this island. In july and august there is a free shuttle service at the port, allowing visitors the chance to walk across to Ile Callot.

It is a very pleasant if not unusual walk, heading out along with the tide to the island. The island itself is very simple. Very picturesque and a photography dream. Flat and not overly long too, and the start point is served by the free...More

Very much enjoyed our walk to and around this island. The walk along the causeway at lowish tide and the fact you need to get back in time are a unique feature. We arrived and left a couple of hours around low tide and the...More

So much fun to walk the causeway to the island. Even more fun to watch the tide come in over the causeway. Don’t forgot to check the tides the island is only accessible during low tide

I do like small islands and this one is special. We walked across the causeway and enjoyed the fresh air and sea views. Highly recommended.

Easy to get carried away walking the island and then you realise that the tide is coming in! It does come in quite fast, so check the times unless you want to wade through the water!

Walked out from the port carpark, which is free for two hours but very busy. It's a lovely walk and my girls (4 and 2) collected shells and paddled in and out of the water, as we walked. Took 20-30 mins as we strolled a...More

Make sure to check the tides' timings before you head there. 2 hours back and forth is plenty but you can easily spend a whole afternoon there and enjoy a lie in on one of the many beaches. We went with our pram. Not always...More

Nice walk , lovely scenery, bring a picnic and relax. You can also cycle or drive but driving is lazy and annoying for those that like to walk. Ok for those that need to do it but otherwise get out and enjoy the fresh air.

The small island is reachable via the causeway during low tide only. You will find a few cottages, the old school building and small church. There are some beaches between. Ideal for a picnic. Mind the tide so that you will be able to return...More
