You can reach parco dei mulini by following the waterfalls bagno vignoni. Another way is trying to find the way to parco dei Mulini. (no marks ... it's the second road on the left driving to bagno vignoni.

The place is nice but the water are not hot at all, we were a bit dissapointed because we planned to find hot springs. There are many amazing hikes in the area that are recommended.

The town centre is predominantly filled with a Roman Bath with pretty little shops and cafes/restaurants around the edge. It is very picturesque and unspoilt. We got there early before many tourists. The bath itself is not suitable for swimming. However, follow the stream down the hill and you come to a series of narrow 'canals' cut from the rock through which the spa water flows. You can dip your feel and it's really warm. The remains of an old factory is evidenced, and had been restored at base level with some commentary. The spa water flows off the cliff and a rocky path can be followed to the bottom of the hill with various viewing platforms along the way. It lis not very well signposted. We did not make our way to the bottom but other tourists were and seemed to be dipping in at the bottom. It's well worth a visit as it's so unusual and unspoilt.

It’s a free spa under the sky where you can go. Water is warm and you can put natural thermal muds on your skin.

The village of Bagno Vignoni in the Val d'Orcia has thermal waters that have been a draw to bathers for centuries. It made for an interesting stop for us but we were disappointed that the waters were not hot, only warm, so we soaked our feet but didn't go in further. It was all free though and in today's world that's unusual so not complaining. We parked just outside the main town area and walked into the centre of town where you can see the large pool which is where the thermal waters bubble up from the subterranean aquifer. You cannot take a dip there but you can stop for coffee or a glass of wine and a bite to eat at one of several eateries alongside. Then walk a little further along to Parco dei Mulini were the thermal waters flows along through a series of channels and eventually down into the valley to which you can walk on a footpath if you choose. You can dip your feet in the channels and then walk over to the viewing platform to take in the scenery - the River Orcia below and its valley all around. You can also see some ancient baths no longer in use.
No admission charged. There are several spas where you can pay to bathe in the thermal waters though we did not do this.

This was a bit of a pit stop for us on a road trip, but you could easily spend a full day here. The village looked beautiful, but we didn't have time to explore it. There were also a number of walking routes through the countryside.

The natural springs are open to the public and are free to bathe in - always a bonus! The springs were not too busy and are probably quieter than some of the more well known springs. We all enjoyed swimming in the springs and my children covered themselves in the mud/clay - apparently it's good for the skin. It states in the guidebooks that some of the hot springs smell due to the sulphur - this spring had no noticeable smell and did not affect our swimwear.

There are fantastic views of the countryside all around. Well worth a visit - would recommend.

There is a large free public car park here, but it feels like quite a walk up to the village on a hot day. The alternative is a much smaller ‘paid for’ car park further up the road right next to the village.
The village has numerous food/drink options, and hotels offering pricey thermal spas - but public pools are free.
Start at Bagno Vignoni. The hot spring running through the park is a great place to cool off your tired feet (see photo). The parc has a viewing platform offering views of the thermal waterfalls and the spring cascading out over the waterfall.
Walk down to the turquoise mineral pool, and take a dip in its surprisingly cool waters, and admire the view of the crystalized waterfall and green hills behind. From here the more adventurous can climb up the waterfall.
Further down the steps there is another pool, and although it looks less inviting than the turquoise mineral pool (the wife shared it with nothing but a few tadpoles in mid April)! it is warmer so she tells me anyway. (see photos).
Parco dei Mulini is spectacular – A don’t miss!

.We started right at Bagno Vignoni admiring the view of the rocky terraces, green hills and falling streams. The hot stream running through the park is a great place to cool off your tired feet - many tourists sat on the stones with their shoes off and feet down in the water enjoying a free spa. The ruins of the old mill and the waterfalls is a fascinating view... We hiked down to the view points and descended to the natural pool at the bottom... I can only imagine how much fun it is to jump into this cold pool to cool off on a hot day. We did not have a chance to do it and just enjoyed the delicate turquoise color of its clear water and the views of the hills around. Parco dei Mulini is spectacular - do not miss it!

If you go to Bagno Vignoni, be sure to talk the path down the cliffs to bath in the beautiful hot pool. I am sure you could pay 100s of euros to visit one of the spas, but this natural pool is free and uncrowded. A real find.
