- FloridaMarvin142 contributionsA wonderful experienceWe were looking for a hot springs hotel in Tuscany and this turned out to be a beautiful discovery. It is a tiny, picturesque hilltop village and though you cannot bathe in the spring in the center of town, we booked the adjacent hotel Albergo Le Terme which was wonderful, hot spring included. It is not easy to get to Bagno Vignoni without a car. We took a train from Florence to Chiusi and then a taxi at 70 euros. The Tuscany hiking is so good, groups of hikders and bikers come up for the day.Visited April 2023Written 22 May 2023

Makes for very pleasant outdoor dining. Plenty of parking nearby. We have been several times since 2016 first visit, and next time we go back to Pienza, Bagno Vignoni will be on our list again for a nice evening's dining.Visited March 2023Written 2 August 2023

- CanCanoePhiladelphia, Pennsylvania44 contributionsTuscan gem beyond the crowds - worth a side tripIn Tuscany where there are so many well-worn places to visit (Florence, Montepulciano, Siena) this is an uncrowded gem off the beaten path. With hot springs that have been drawing guests since medieval times it is worth your time for lunch or dinner. A small town square and ruins from a 19th century mill, we found it a worthwhile side-trip from our Tuscan vacation. Get out of the well-worn paths and check this unheralded town out.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 December 2023

Frankly no surprise there is not much written on Bagno Vignoli online as there are no indications whatsoever - so despite it being a very small place it is not easy to find things at all. With Google maps not working well you risk turning around under the burning sun. As usual in Tuscany there are lots of clear signs to hotels and restaurants which bring money but not to nature wonders which are not cash cows… Otherwise really nice and interesting place to be in Val d’Orcia.

Beautiful small town. We came upon it 2 years ago and just came back for a 4 night stay. Centrally located to see Tuscan highlights and lesser known gems.

The place is interesting but only for a short visit - as there isn’t much to do here. Do not miss the ancient ruins which are nearby.

Hello all. Just wondering if this village is anywhere near to any wine tours?
Thanks in advance

There are there vineyards in the area: Sante Marie di Vignoni, Azienda Agricola Vegliana and Tenuta Sanorer but not sure if they do wine tours. There are a number of others in surrounding areas.

Si può parcheggiare vicino alla piazza?
robertobaroncelli

Hola Jorge, pienso ir a Bagno Vignoni.

Mi aiutate a capire?
Grazie a tutti!!

Espero haberte ayudado.

I notice the outside pools at the Post Hotel are closed. We are going Mid February. Is there anywhere else to enjoy the thermal springs?

Sorry I don't know where else, however this small village is just beautiful and worth a visit. We were there in mid October, and it was stunning.

I am trying to plan a trip for my parents and i would like to ask which city would be better for them to stay on order to visit easier the baths and make a stay at the spa hotel. Regarding transportation because they do not want to hire a car.
Thank you for your help.
