First, don't take the first parking strongly advertised, private one. There is plenty of public one, cheaper and easier to park at. The Piazza is very relaxing and it leads to several attractions.

The palm trees are wondrous - it's makes you giddy just looking up at them, the square has a lovely fountain and gift shops touristy-trappy but a great ice-cream parlour with outdoor seating in the far corner

I love people watching. Ok,now match that with the magnificent surrounding buildings and an incredible fountain, that's Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. I even enjoy the tourist trap kiosks, what a glorious spot. The entrancing fountain featuring Triton, was sculpted in 1881 by Mario Rutelli. Word of...More

Nice place to visit....recommended. There are only a few places to visit in Monreale and this is one of them. Apparently on Sundays you can park on the blue lines without paying.

This is the square in front of the main entrance to the Duomo, and because of that it's very picturesque and pretty. Nice fountain adding to the beauty.

You cannot miss this square with a fountain in a middle, because from there is the main entrance to the marvelous Duomo. Apart from that, it's an average square like everywhere else. Don't suggest sitting in cafes around it, because of the inflated prices due...More

Attractive main square, perfect to look at the Normad style facade of the main cathedral. An attractive fountain stands in the middle of the square. Great pizza place on the far side of the square.
