Had a really good time at the Macau science center with my kids. There are fourteen stations with various scientific themes for you young children to explore. This is better suited for younger kids (<9 years old). The architecture of the building is also modern and sleek. Worth coming just to take a view of the building. Entrance fee is a affordable 25 mop. Well worth the money for spending a couple of hours during the afternoon.

They are undergoing renovation, so not all exhibits are available.
Good location, I hope they will come back with more activities and exhibits.

Provide ample chances and space for kids. My kid of 2.5y loves here. Well-managed, clean and the interactive games for kid are quite innovative. Can spend several hours here. Definitely will come back again!

Some portions are old and don't work well- but the simpler ones - like the construction site for preschoolers and the water play rooms and music room are all big hits for the little ones! We went early on a weekday and it was great until lots of other schools arrived and took over the place. The kids were kind but it was hard to enjoy all of the facilities with that many children in the same room. We rushed ahead to see the other rooms before they followed.

The Macao Science Centre is one of the most child-friendly attractions available in the city. Here families can spend 2-3 hours exploring a five-floor, spiral-shaped building with 14 large exhibition areas filled with interactive and entertaining displays.

There is also a planetarium featuring 2D and 3D shows scheduled throughout the day, offering more entertainment for children and adults alike. See the Science Centre website for current list of programmes being shown.

It is fun, engaging an education day out at the Macao Science Centre. Opening hours are 10am to 6pm (Friday to Wednesday). The centre is closed on Wednesdays. Entrance prices into the exhibition areas is (MOP25 per adult). Planetarium prices are (MOP60) for 2D shows and (MOP80) for 3D shows.

Went there with my girlfriend and friends, it was ok. The only good reason to go is with a kid, there are tons of kids attractions. If you don't have a kid, no reason to go.

There is a play area for kids when you first enter the gate. The fee is not much so is great if you have kids. The inside of the science center is very old alot of the activity is no longer working. it really need some update. As for kids they will still find way to have fun so no worry for that. I would still think is a ok place to visit if the weather is not too great outside.

So, the mistake was ours. That is, we failed to acknowledge that it was school holiday time before visiting the Macao Science Centre. If boisterous kids pushing in front of you and commandeering every exhibit is your thing, then you are going to love MSC during school holidays. It was nothing short of mayhem.

The good thing, of course, was that hopefully a little bit of information was being imparted to these impressionable youngsters, and I was very pleased to see a few parents taking their time to discuss exhibits with their progeny. But for us, the experience resembled a nightmare of sorts. Even the coffee shop couldn’t provide a respite with its dirty tables and disinterested staff.

There were also too many exhibits out of action, and too many fenced off areas. The maintenance and curatorial teams need proverbial bombs up them.

cheap entrance but expensive 3D show that was boring so dont bother. We wanted to spend a few hours where the kids could enjoy and learn something but most of displays did not have english instructions and staff were not really very helpful, some installations were quite old so I was a little bit disappointed.

For our 5th visit to Macau we wanted to do something different. Lucky choice. Start from the top and go down saving the indoor play ground ( and McD) for the end!
For all tastes and ages. Great display. Unfortunately some equipment don't work anymore but plenty of options. We saw a 3D show as well ( asteroids) which the kids really enjoyed. Easy to be dropped at Sands Macau and walk on Dr Sun Yat Sen Av. Good value. Recommend it to families especially when the weather gets hot and humid
