Well worth a visit. Get the hand held audio guide. It’s a story of a monk, as well as info on the buildings. And don’t miss the film presentation in English behind the entry desk. Full of surprises! The building is well preserved and very beautiful

This cistercian monestir dates back to the 12th century and is the prettiest of the three. It has two cloisters and is the resting place of James II, the Just and his wife. Open all day depending on the season - doesn't close for lunch unlike Poblet. Included in the entry fee is a audio guide which I found interesting.…

We decided that if Poblet monastery was shut we'd try another and, after checking for siestas, we headed to Santa Creus monastery. The gateway was certainly impressive and the walk through the courtyard to the next gateway was very imposing but some signposting wouldn't go amiss. We got our tickets and audio guide and headed inside. The weather had started to cloud over so we were getting chilly but the monastery was quite amazing with some superb carvings, very grand rooms and some original paintings too. We spent a couple of hours before heading outside with impeccable timing as a coach disgorged a horde of schoolkids.…

Had a very nice experience wandering through the monestir. With the headset you can follow in your own language at your own pace.

We were staying overnight in the neighborhood and wanted something to do in the afternoon and decided on visiting this monastery . My son of 12 initially didn’t wanted to go. But he had to:-) we were lucky, just as we arrived the audio presentation in English started and afterwards my son’s conclusion was, best monastery ever. It is indeed very nice and with the audio guide you get a good idea of cloister live. Is was nicer than we expected.…
