Nice and unique place in the world, but would plan a short visit. Guided tours are Oké but limited explanation.

Amazing to see the origins of the marble, and a bit of adventure in the jeeps. The best group tour I've done.

Find the road that takes you to the very top, where the trucks in the pit look like ants. Think of the sculptures and beauty mined here. Fill your mind with every great artist whose work began with this stone and you'll believe in God.

We arrived in the Marble Caves area, which is actually an open Quarry. The tour we took was in Landrover Defenders, and just brilliant, from the drive up to the top, which was incredible, through the views, information and real time viewing of the Marble...More
